Android nightly builds

Creating separate topic for android users, who wants to help testing current version or simply play their favourite IE games on android devices with recent bugfixes.

 

Some general descritpion:

GemRB on android became possible by efforts of Beholder (actual GemRB port) and pelya (SDL port).

Version 0.6.4.1 is available at android market, but GemRB engine has beta status now and market version may have some issues, (sometimes android specific - http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?s...p;#entry186659).

 

Steps for using Git version:

- install gemrb apk

- replace GUIScripts folder with new one

- copy new override folder over old one replacing files with equal names

 

You can always get the latest version from here.

Last build had outdated android project. Finally managed to build most recent version of gemrb with most recent version of android project. This build must be the same as market version, but with last gemrb changes.

On my tablet asus transformer with honeycomb 3.2, with both two versions(Beholder&alx3apps) 12/08/2011 i have black screen .

3.2 is pretty recent device, could you post aLogCat logs that gemrb writes in startup? Preferably into topic GEMRB on Android. Also, does previous versions work (e.g. 257ac59_20110704)?

Note, to enable touch scroll areas (grey lines) you should set config parameter TouchScrollAreas=1

 

About downloads:

1) uploading three files for simple update from device (I'm using GhostCommander and copying GUIScripts and override from zip without anarchiving)

2) GUIScripts and override also included in apk, I think they must be installed automatically to /sdcard/app-data/net.sourceforge.gemrb, but if you are using separate folder it's simpler to copy them there from separate archives

3) I'm using mediafire, because I don't know anything better, if there is decent alternative - please let me know, I'll use it

4) sorry for depositfiles last time, had extremely slow internet last time, and mediafire haven't work with it
