new bit in PST spells/items

Avenger

Recommended Posts

In the extended header (spell ability/item ability), this byte can take a value (4). That means, the spell is 'friendly'. If there is 0, it means the spell/item is hostile.

0x0001 1 (char) Unknown

Friendly spells won't send some triggers (most likely hitby).

Note: in bg2 spells contain a hostile flag in their main header. Items contain a hostile flag in the recharge bits. This location is different (though its value is still 0x400, because it is handled together with the previous byte).
