Game keeps crashing during dialogues

Hi guys

 

I'm searching for a solution for this heavily frustrating issue

 

Game often crashes in NPC project dialog, when i click on continue (Never when i'm able to chose my answer). Stupid thing is, that when dialog crashes this way, it is never iniciated again. I'm afraid that was coused by me forgeting to instal Tutu fixpack, am I right? Is there any way to solve this in the middle of bg1 without me reinstaling the whole game? I would certainly like to avoid that, as it took my quite a long time (i'am a beginer in this whole mod thing) and i already progressed in my game considerably, though i dont have much time to play.

 

I'm using easy Tutu, original instalations are from Gog.

Welcome to G3. You're using EasyTutu, which means that you've got a separate EasyTutu folder where you've got BG1 NPC installed. This is great, but your weidu.log shows that you've got other mods for BG2 installed, which shouldn't be installed in your EasyTutu folder, only BG2 folder.

 

So, my answer is:

- you don't need any fixpacks for EasyTutu, from my experience, it's nice and stable on its own;

- you don't want to do a full reinstall, but you may have to, IF your bg2 installation wasn't clean and unmodded when you were installing EasyTutu. If it was, then you're all right.

- In any case, you need uninstall your bg2 mods manually via Setup-Mod.exe, one by one, until you've only got mods like BG1 NPC and BG1 UB and Widescreen mod and BG2 Tweaks - mods like Romantic Encounters, Xan, Crossmod for BG2 all belong in your BG2 folder.

 

Next time you reinstall EasyTutu, I recommend doing a quick clean backup of your override folder, dialog.tlk, chitin.key and bgmain.exe(restoring them is much faster than a full reinstall) - read more here: http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,17555

Oh I misunderstood how Tutu works. I thought it unites both games to one piece... Ok, my bg2 was clean before Tutu, so i will unistall BG2 contend and hope it will fix it. Thanks for answer and useful link!

It won't... but it will be your first step, as you need to reinstall the EasyTutu again, this time to a different folder altogether, as it's independent from the BG1 and the BG2 folders(if you choose the new folder option).
