Change Valygar's 'hide in shadows' sound

Hi,

 

I just started a new playthrough of BG2, and I decided to give Valygar a try this time.

So far I like him, except for one thing;

I have a script running that makes him hide in shadows whenever possible, and when he is succesfull he delivers the same line over and over again.

I really don't mind his voiceset, but hearing the same line maybe 2 or 3 times a minute is driving me crazy.

 

I've been searching the forums, and I gather the easiest way to change this is to place a wave file in the override folder that overrides that specific voiceclip.

But I haven't been able to figure out what name I should give this file, does anyone know?

Also, any suggestions on which file/sound I should use to replace the voiceclip?

Or you could swap the "valyga41.wav" with a more pleasant sound, by renaming an existing as that and placing it to the override folder, more pleasant than the "I am certain I am out of sight. None can see me now." ...

That is exactly what I meant to do, I just didn't know what the file name was.

That file you posted works well, though it's a bit loud so I lowered the volume to about 1/4 of it's original level.

You are more than welcome... it was a long time ago since I used the file in game so I can't speculate on the sound level, but I am happy you could make it work for you.
