vanatos
Hi, How is the appearance (of your character in-game) mapped? For example THIEF_FEMALE_HUMAN is this mapped to the .bam file? I have looked at the animate.ids and an anisnd.ids, but they don't seem to map to what i expected. Primarily this question comes because i found that Imoen (and female thief appearance) has changed from BG2 to BG2EE Link to comment
lynx
The IDS is just a map to a numeric value, the real filename mapping is hardcoded in the engine. GemRB has it partially reversed in avatars.2da and EEs (maybe only the second) in some other file. https://github.com/gemrb/gemrb/blob/master/gemrb/unhardcoded/bg2/avatars.2da Link to comment
vanatos
oh that sucks, is it possible to put the original .bam into the override folder, renaming it into the CHFT--.bam files and it would override? Link to comment
lynx
Sure, it would have to be an explicit exception for that not to work. Make sure you use the same animation format/orientations and probably also the cycle/frame counts. Link to comment
