Salk
Hello!I am using a .spl file to add a fixed number of points to all thieving skills at different stages: Detect Illusion Hide in Shadow Open Lock Move Silently Find Traps Pick Pocket When I check the .cre file with NI, I notice that the spell does change the value of the last four entries (that is: PP, OL, FT and MS change their value from, say, 5 to 10) while the first two are reported as active effects on the creature. Do you know if that's just normal and if I can count on the improvements for Detect Illusion and Hide in Shadow to be really working? Here's a picture: http://picpaste.com/Image-ahXCSz7z.jpg Thanks! Miloch
You might want to check the opcodes and timing modes you're using. Some modes will apply a permanent modifier to the stat itself, others will attach the modifier as an effect. And it's also dependent on the actual stat. I wouldn't expect there to be a difference from one thieving skill to another, but the engine can be odd. Link to comment
Salk
Thanks... Wisp's suggestion resolved a sticky situation (http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?showtopic=26906) but here unfortunately the timing mode was already 1 and Detect Illusion and Hide in Shadow attach the modifier as an effect. I guess I will have to experiment more... Link to comment
Salk
I haven't found any solution here. I guess I am stuck with a bunch of effect modifiers although I don't like it... Changing timing modes did not help with opcodes 275 and 276. Link to comment
