toxin
This is true for both the 4th lvl "Polymorph Self" spell and the cloak of the sewers (which according to this actually transforms you into the weaker Ochre jelly). Shouldn't mustard jellies have 100% magic resistance? Link to comment
subtledoctor
What game are you playing? I think this probably doesn't have anything to do with SR, but rather with (one of) the EEs, which may have changed the .CRE file that the spell changes you into. Link to comment
toxin
I'm playing BG2:EE with SCS+SR+BG2Tweaks+aTweaks. So I take it EE changed this? was it intentional? because a jelly with 10% magic resistance is pretty much worthless... Link to comment
subtledoctor
So I take it EE changed this? was it intentional? I have no idea. But I've seen people talking on the Beamdog forums about how the jelly form of the Cloak of the Sewers only gives you 10% MR, which I think is a change from vanilla TOB. So if the SR spell is based on TOB/BGT (Demi's game platform of choice) and if it uses the same .CRE as the Cloak, then yeah I could see how this would be an unintended consequence when playing BG2EE. toxin
How would you recommend I bring it back to 100% ? Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
Polymorph to another form... or make the .cre file using something as reference, and use that. Link to comment
Demivrgvs
IR and SR do affect Mustard Jelly stats, and I based my take on it from AD&D (I don't think there's an official 3E version). As you can see here it has 10% magic res. I think SoA version had 100% resistance but it was too exploitable imo. Link to comment
