toxin
I think I ran into an omission in lich defenses - they are vulnerable to Power Word: Silence and apparently don't have Vocalize memorized. The best they can do then is fire a couple of sequencers (which are naturally pretty weak), after which they're sitting ducks. I tested this on Deirex but I assume other liches are similar. Jarno Mikkola
The likely case here is, you have a special Power Word Silence spell, aka not just the spwi612.spl, and one that has not been added to the liches immunity list, that thus doesn't get an immune response. And yes, the PWSilence is a level 6 spell, Liches are immune to up to level 5 spells. So technically that would be illegal to cheat and have an immunity. Link to comment
toxin
I'm using Spell Revisions which as far as I know doesn't change PW:Silence, at least not its code. Also, looking at the special LICH ring in DLTC, I don't see any immunity from SPWI612. The lich doesn't have to be immune to it, it just needs Vocalize memorized. Link to comment
toxin
Looks like you were right Jarno. I was recently hit by a Silence spell and couldn't dispel it using Vocalize. So I went over Deirex's spells and true enough, he does have Vocalize memorized. So there's probably a bug in either Silence or Vocalize (presumably in SR, going by my weidu log). krevett
It seems to come from SR indeed, I'm playing with stratagems without SR and silenced spellcasters cast vocalize without any problem! Link to comment
