Guest Agnis Posted May 14, 2023 Share Posted May 14, 2023 I've been using Romantic Encounters for BGEE for a while now. Last time I played it was about a year ago, no complaints. Everything worked as it should. Started a new playthrough now and the descriptive part of encounters doesn't show at all. I've reinstalled the mod, made 100% sure I chose to install the descriptive version and still it doesn't work. Quote Link to comment

That's what I had when I previously played BG:EE. Now the descriptions in brackets are simply not there and instead of entire scene playing out I only get the beginnig conversation up to the kiss, then screen fades to black and picks up after the thing. Your install got borked, you have the first component installed twice but weidu doesn't know the details of the first time any more. This can happen if the mod folder with the backup information gets removed. Then the very first component got installed a 2nd time last which is too late for the other components to see it. I don't see a way to save this install because of the missing info about the first installation of component 0. From the description you have the Teen version installed. Quote Link to comment

jastey Posted June 12, 2023 Author Share Posted June 12, 2023 @lipses Oh, you found a bug. After the "Right" a cutscene is supposed to trigger that takes Ender and the PC into private quarters. Due to false syntax, this will only happen if you installed the description text variant. I'll fix this for the next version. You could try setting per cheat console: C:SetGlobal("RE1_EnderFlirt","GLOBAL",1) before talking to Ender, then the dialogue that's supposed to trigger in the private quarters will trigger and you can at least finish the encounter. The first line is for male PC, the second one is for female. The English game only has one dialog.tlk. But languages that distinguish between male and female have two: dialog.tlk for male PC and dialogf.tlk for female. Thus, you would do the same for Italian translation, just put two lines in tildas behind one tra number to account for male and female versions. Quote Link to comment
