Assertion failed in CGameEffect.cpp line 7657

I am currently at siege camp, fighting Yaga Shura. I am beating up his first wave of goons and wounding Yaga Shura. So he says he is gonna retreat and come back with reinforcements.

I get rid of his remaining goons, the game autosaves possibly expecting new reinforcements. Yaga Shura then comes back alone, without any reinforcements in sight as he promised by the way, and then says "You have weakened me..." etc. At this point game crashes with the error in the title.

I have had some crashes in my current run due to animations caused by some 1PP components (i.e. Djinni and fire elemental animations) but they are solved when I switch to 3d acceleration in BG config. This Yaga Shura crash happens irregardless of whether I enable or disable 3d acceleration, so I assume it is unrelated with graphics/animations. Any idea what this bug is and how I can solve it?

For info: I have BGT with Ascension, Wheels of Prophecy and SCS v33.1. I have plenty of other mods installed as well (weidu log posted in the spoiler section).

This particular crash is caused by an effect with a wrong Type parameter, in this case, creatures yaga02 through 05 all have a Fire resistance effect applied to them with the "type" set to 4 (editing all four creature files and setting it to 1 instead fixes this bug, in case anybody else is playing on a years old install as well😅). I am aware of the pointlessness of this reply, but documenting this issue's particular cause (as nothing else comes up when one googles this thread's title) and effect, as far as classic BG2 crashes go, is fairly useful (in my eyes).

Huh, checking on my ToF bg2ee install, this issue remains, though, what I assume happens is that the EE corrects the value and appropriately applies the effect despite the mismatch on the Type field's possible values. Otherwise this would have not gone unreported for so long.

Opcode 30 in particular seems to be currently being added by line 27 on stratagems/ascencion/yagashura.tpa (snippet also includes lines 26 & 28),

which is puzzling because there's no reason for Param2 to be set to 4 instead of the Power field being modified. Timing is also off, as it's dispellable and has a duration, but it's set to 9 (insta & perma). I suppose fixing it is pretty easy though, just add a value for parameter2 that's within the game's value range, unsure if the duration or dispellability should work like that (persoanlly I would give them natural 100% fire res so Yaga-Shura himself doesn't fry them w/his Ascension abilities. In case that's even party unfriendly... I don't remember if it hits them or not).
