maus Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 How will the mod treat mods like Aura, Drake und Sirene? They provide a kit of their own for these NPCs. Will these kits stay as they are or will they be overwritten or modified? The readme says that ToF will be compatible with simple kit-mods, so I would guess there is a chance for compatibility. But ToF changes the cleric specialist system (Drake?) and removes illusionist specialists (Aura as articifier/illusionist?). And Sirene provides a paladin kit... Any comments on this issue? Quote
Connelly Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 (edited) My understanding is that compatibility wasn't a a priority before release of the beta, so ToF won't take any actions directly intended towards NPC mods. On the other hand the base paladin, cleric and thief classes aren't replaced, but modified. So probably those npcs can benefit of those changes. Because Drake uses the base Tyr cleric kit I don't think he'll have any trouble adapting to ToF without further modifications. Sirene's Martyr kit will probably have no problem with the base paladin changes, but she won't benefit of the sphere and deity additions unless there's work done for compatibilty. Aura's Artificer thief kit will probably function fine as well, but her Priestess of the Way cleric kit will have the same problem as Sirene's Martyr. Edited December 16, 2023 by Connelly Quote
DavidW Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 Roughly as Connelly says. Existing kits should be basically fine, but if they're divine casters they'll get the same spells as the baseline class. (ToF gives all paladins the same spell set anyway.) The only caveat is that if a kit uses complicated tools like UI editing, it may not play nicely with SCS's own UI edits. Quote
Trouveur80 Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 Drake uses the vanilla priest of Tyr kit, so should be fine. Quote
