In my current game I have yet to get to the Gov District to bribe Corneil in order to be able to cast spells in Athkatla unimpeded.

 

I ended up getting one warning from the Cowled Wizards when Habib attacked me, cause one of my mages to fire off Stoneskin as scripted.

 

This got me to thinking that if you have a warning against you, then the cost of the bribe to Corneil should go up, as a registered nuisance. Say from 5000 to 10000gp.

Yeah it doesn't make life an easier, but it does make things more interesting since you have the choice of paying the Shadows Thieves off or buying the freedom to cast spells at will in Athkatla.

Better. My proposition is:

- decrease gold quanity in game (No quests which give you many many money!). And erase some magical items. Its to many plates and full plates in game!

- increase shop costs!

- taverns for a 100 gp minimum

- no rest to heal! only 8h resting.

Who exactly would use a "no rest to heal tweak"? Those people who like resting to heal certainly wouldn't use it, and those people who dislike resting to heal simply switch the option off in-game.
