Cre 1.0 Spell Memorization Info

The word at 0x0002 is the Normal # of spells that can be memorized.

The word at 0x0004 is the Current # of spells that can be memorized.

 

Certain items/effects can modify the number of spells that can be memorized. The word at 0x0004 is used to keep track of this.

 

By default, CREs have these values set the same, until the CRE is loaded into a game and any possible bonuses are applied. So you'll only see a different value at 0x0004 if you're looking at saved game data.

 

Edit: this also applies to CRE 1.2 and 9.0; they have the same structures.
