Joakim Posted January 6, 2007 Share Posted January 6, 2007 I've found Jaheira has the priest 1st lv. spell 'sanctuary'. In original game, sanctuary might cast only by priests, so I'm confused. What's correct? I've also read 'Core Fix Documents' but I cannot find any note about this. Is it bug? or By the AD&D 2e rule? Link to comment

CamDawg Posted January 8, 2007 Share Posted January 8, 2007 When you start a new druid, do they get Sanctuary as well, or is it just Jaheira? I don't know what could be affecting Sanctuary here. If all druids get Sanctuary, run a file search for sppr109.spl in your BG2 folder. If not, search for jaheir7.cre. If we can determine which mod backup folders have these files, we can narrow down the list of culprits. Link to comment

I'd assumed that problem caused by BP, so I reinstalled BG2 and installed the same MODs that I've mentioned in my reply except BP v177. But the problem occured too. I believe other MODs that I installed are not affect sanctuary. I think non-MOD BG2 v26498's druids gain sanctuary and BaldurDash druids don't gain it. So I assume Fixpack didn't fix it. Maybe you forgot this. If I am wrong, what MOD makes druids gain sanctuary? Link to comment
Guest Nythrun@work Posted January 9, 2007 Share Posted January 9, 2007 Not sure which mod is doing it, but in a ToB plus patch install Sanctuary is correctly restricted and neither Jaheira nor PC druids know it. If memory serves Weimer used to add this as a Druid usable spell in some of his mods, but it doesn't look like you have those. Link to comment

Tweaks' Shapeshifter Rebalancing component makes Sanctuary (along with Chant, Glyph of Warding, Zone of Sweet Air, and Righteous Magic) learnable by druids. This is noted in the Tweaks readme. Sanctuary in the original game is unlearnable by druids, and neither Fixpack nor Baldurdash alter the spell. Link to comment
