  1. It took me all night to figure out PI and I just gave up. It is clunky as hell it doesn't save your chosen options and it freezes and blinks like crazy giving me a headache. I have read F.A.Q 20 times and still couldn't figure out EET Install despite doing shit step by step. The funny thing is that I have Installed this game using Install Tool without much hassle. I have added A couple of mods in beetwen and so far it works great. Weidu log WeiDU.log
  2. @Bartimaeus Like I said I am installing SRR and SCS . I tried using PI but its too complicated for my troubled mind so I went to Roxanne's Install Tool. SCS's spells from IWD are conflicting with SR . Are IWD spels already in SRR? Also are you aware of some guide that could help me install mods manually? I have read your first post and I do not understand what main component, sub component of IR, SR is? Do I need Infinity Animations For EE versions of the game.
  3. Having options is ALWAYS better. Thats what Mods are for , options for vanilla game. You realize that this settings are in settings.ini? SRR was like that for a very long time if not from beginning. It's nowhere near being overwhelming. That way I can customize spells for LoB+SCS. "Targetable Chant makes little sense to me tbh; are Priests that good at throwing their voice? Never seemed a problem to me that it's caster-centered." Have you ever been in a church? Priest can "throw voice" like there is no tomorrow.

  6. So my feedback is not enough? You have hurt my feelings and I will go cry in the corner... On serious side I already have beautiful Chant. Bless description is little confusing for me but english is not my mother language. SR and SRR description are pretty much the same: Upon uttering the Bless spell, the caster raises the morale of friendly creatures by +1. Furthermore, it raises their attack and damage dice rolls by +1. The caster determines at what range he will cast the spell. At the instant the spell is completed, it affects all creatures in a 30 foot radius centered on the point selected by the caster (thus, affected creatures leaving the area are still subject to the spell’s effect; those entering the area after the casting is completed are not). First sentence states that spell is party friendly, third(second in SRR) sentence states it's not party friendly. So I suggest changing "all creatures" in third sentence to "friendly creatures" just like in first sentence.
  7. @subtledoctor This is SRR thread so everything I said is in regard to SRR. You have a VAST knowlegde about the game and now i feel like drowned in bottomless pit of game quirks and obscure mechanics. @Bartimaeus If I have read spell description 10 times can I be pretty sure that spell descriptions in SRR are acurate? I mean if the spell sais that it ads 1 damage for example, is that what it EXACTLY ads and NOTHING more? I have done some testing. . Bless gave 1 thac0 1 damage and this bonuses are visible in Lefreut's UI. Aid gave 1 thac0 1 damage and this bonuses are visible in Lefreut's UI. Chant gave 1 thac0 1 damage and saves and this bonuses are NOT visible in Lefreut's UI.(they work alright but only saves are visible) Bless Aid and Chant do stack! I have changed my opinion on Chant. It is offensive but still it shouldn't break sanctuary (just to make cleric viable). It should break invisibility though. If you are going to make Chant break Sanctuary @Bartimaeus could you at least make chant work as Bless? So cleric could cast it from a safe distance?
  8. No. Bless gives you 1 thac0 bonus and 1 damage bonus. At least on SRR. Also there is no mention of Luck in Chant description. So I am confused
  9. I have just copied my installation to my wife computer, children's laptops and my ex sata HDD drive. NO ONE will take my offensive defensive chant rambo style spell from me!
  10. 1. You are 100% correct. I use it as a excuse to make my own min max party.
  11. 3) Chant applies penalties to enemies in range, but it also applies bonuses to allies regardless whether any enemies are around. So you don't need to cast it near enemies to get benefits from the spell. I cast it far away from enemies all the time. Isn't that Bless on second level?

  13. Chant spell is caster centered, so its best to cast it near heat of battle to affect as many enemies as possible. I am playing With SCS and on Lob difficulty and as soon as cleric closes in to cast anything, those pesky kobold commando targets him making it nearly imposible to cast. So Sanctuary is crucial for cleric to safely navigate the battlefied. Making chant "offensive" just makes cleric useless. Considering LoB gives -11AC bonus to mobs it makes Bless and Chant crucial low level cleric spells. You need as low THAC0 as you can possibly get. So Casting all defensive spells should not break sanctuary in my opinion and Chant is one of them. Xzar just hit level six Necromancer, Larloch drain is six points, Vampiric touch 9 points. Why would I ever take that as third level spell? Do I need to wait until 20 level to actually use it? on top of that ridiculus scaling he needs to stand next to victim and Larloch is long range. What I am missing?

Another question that came up: Seems I'm having a hard time interrupting enemy casters, to the point where even dealing 100+ damage total in multiple events or pushing enemies across the map just doesn't interrupt. I asked in the SCS forum and they assure me it's not SCS that does this - since I'm only using SCS and IRR/SRR I'm wondering if SR(R?) does something to change how casters are interrupted? I have read in Subtle's Doctor Scales of Balance mod that there is a component that changes concetration checks. Basically in vanilla game the more damage you deal the less chance spell will be interupted. I am playinng right now EET with SCS, IRR and SRR and low damage is interupting spellcasting like crazy.(magic misile, larloch drain, poison tik etc) @Bartimaeus I am using second level cleric spell Hold Person and it lasts for 1 turn. But third level druidic spell Hold Person or Mammal seems to last only couple of rounds. Am I going crazy?

  18. I have checked ini file before installing IRR and Edwin has 3 spells on level 1. Shouldn't he have 4? 1 base plus 1 conjurer plus 2 amulet?
  19. I have A question about spells. Is there a way to quickly check which spells are active on enemies or npcs? Or exactly what spell was disabled by spellthrust? Game with SCS is so spell heavy and now i am really confused.

  21. Hello Thank you for this awesome mod. I have a question about HLA Summon Deva. Is it intended that the deva uses bare hands to atack despite wielding a heavy mace+3?
  22. Smarter genies still won't install. I am using SRR. Also dialog box is going crazy for some reason. Sometimes dialog won't show up and I need to scroll up to see it. WeiDU.log
