  1. Does anyone have a working link for Infinity Animations?  I've tried the internet archive for the SHS link but the download isn't cached, and the github page for this project doesn't contain anything useful for an end-user.

  3. I can understand blocking posting to avoid abuse, but why a blanket block on people just browsing the site?  What harm do you think can come from this?

    Tor is a good tool for getting past restrictive firewalls (workplace filters) and it's not always some nefarious thing if a user is connecting through this network, anymore than a VPN is.  And no, nobody is going to DDoS you through Tor.

    I'm not surprised Cloudfront has something to do with this.  They protect the worst villains that humanity has to offer but god forbid you should try connecting to a game-related forum through Tor!

When fighting the Thayan group in Beregost in order to recruit Neera, if the Wizard casts Horror on Neera and the Wizard is killed in battle, Neera initiates dialog with the player while in the Horror state and when asked to join, she accepts but just walks off the screen never to be seen again.  She should probably not initiate dialog with the player while under these types of spell effects.

     

  5. I don't know what the 'official' position is on this, but I've always used all three together and never had any issues.  They're all listed as compatible with EET, anyhow.

One other problem I've observed, and I'm not sure this is SCS-related - On tactical, when getting into the Bandit Camp by talking your way in, completing the fight in Tazok's tent doesn't cause the camp to become hostile, In fact, leaving the tent, I can sit there and pummel Taurgosz Khosann to death and he never becomes hostile (blue circle) and other enemies don't react to the attack.  The camp used to become hostile after leaving the fight in the tent.

    This also means that NTotSC had nothing to do with it. There isn't even a compatibility problem with Duke Eltan taking back the work note. It worked all fine for me with the current mod versions.

    The chapter change bug is an oversight in Framed where the mod assumes that the PC does not return to the Iron Throne after doing Candlekeep the normal way. The chapter change is triggered any time the party returns to the Head Quarters after being in Candlekeep. Will be fixed in a future version.

    I can only repeat that in a multi-mod install, without digging through the code it is never clear which mod introduced a bug, even if it might seem like it. Be careful about putting the blame, and always report bugs so we can identify and fix it.

Something I just realized -- I got the dialog where the Duke wants me to explore the Northern Citadel.  This is usually where he takes the Candlekeep Work Order back with just Framed installed but I don't recall this happening.  The scripting thinks I did the early quest and that's why the chapter is advanced.

    Do you still have this game? I really wouldn't know how NTotSC would trigger a chapter change, least a transition to SoD (and without it occurring so far anywhere else), but in a modded install, weird things can happen. Does it only increase the chapter or is there a real transition to SoD into Korlasz' Dungeon and everything? The latter should only happen if MoveToCampaign("SoD") is called. Where exactly does it happen, Iron Throne ground level?

    No prob - and I apologize if I came off as overly hostile toward this mod.  I nuked the EET/save files as I wasn't planning on reporting anything here.  In the future I'll keep backups of everything.

    What happens with what I call the 'Chapter 8 transition', in this order --

    I return from Candlekeep to BG, are greeted by Husam and deal with Slythe and Krystin.  I then enter the Iron Throne building to get the diary (not the canonical order of events, but I've played this so many times).  As soon as I enter the building, the game cuts to the chapter 8 intro sequence (as if I just spoke with Duke Eltan in Endless BG1 and agreed to continue into SoD), and the Chapter advances to 8, but I'm still in the lobby of the Iron Throne building (not actually going into SoD/Korlasz's Dungeon).  This prevents the battle in Chapter 7 in the Palace from occurring (the usual people aren't there). 

    The only other component I have that might mess with this is Framed, but I didn't accept the early quest to Candlekeep and played through with the usual path.

    I'm for a new rule in IE modding: if you don't report bugs to help us identify and fix them, you have no right going around telling a mod would be bugged.

    Please don't take this criticism personally.  I didn't know you're responsible for this mod otherwise I would have posted here and would have been more vigilant in collecting a more detailed report.  The documentation I have leads me to believe this is from SHS which I can't access.  I wasn't prepared to make a bug report *here* - I was merely offering my opinion on this mod.

    I'll address the map transitions first --

    Two broken transitions I encountered were traveling east from Field of the Dead to Larswood.  On the Larswood map, I appeared on a previously 'unexposed' portion of the map on (on the west side), and I became stuck.

    The second, is a broken transition from one of the new map areas (which I don't recall) to Upper Chionthar.  You can go north from UC but not back to UC from the map section that was just transitioned to.

    As for the Chapter 8 transition - this is the only 'new' mod I've added to my BG1 portion of my EET install and I've never encountered this behavior.  Maybe this is not the source of this problem but I don't know what else would have caused this.  Never seem this before I played with NTotSC.  You're right there shouldn't be any type of chapter transition here, in an un-modded game or otherwise.

    I just played through BG1 with this mod and I couldn't stand it.  It feels maybe 50% complete.  For me at least, it was bugged in some area transitions with the new maps and with EET, it triggered Chapter 8 start (yes, SoD) when going back into the Iron Throne building to fight Cythandria to retrieve the diary which broke the game.  Enemy magic users have buffs that are not dispellable in any way with the spell selection available in BG1.  Frustrating hordes of powerful enemies for seemingly no reason other than to piss you off and waste your time.

    You should check out Shades of the Sword Coast and basically anything from Weasel Mods (which don't seem to get much attention here) for BG2.  Also Sellswords and maybe Back to Brynnlaw as honorable mentions.  Sellswords is probably somewhat 'beardy' if you're not up on Forgotten Realms lore which I'm not.  If you can get past the non-optional voice acting and an unconvincing Drow city it's a decent mod.  With a little polish it could be A+.

  13. I have the same bug as what's discussed in that Reddit thread.

    After defeating either Sendai or Abazigal (probably dependent on which is completed first), Balthazar and Melissan appear in the bosses room, and go through their dialogs that would normally occur in the Monastery, then start fighting each other forever.  It's actually humorous to watch this play out but annoying after you've gone through the whole game up until this point.  There's something very bugged about this mod, I think.

  14. In Kagain's quest to deal with the caravan after you initially recruit him, when you talk to the female by the overturned wagons (I don't recall her name), there is one line of audio that is spoken and it's some random line from Irenicus (EET install).

    I'm not even certain the Kagain quest is from this mod...

    Ah.  That's probably what I'm thinking of.  The 'real' potion can be put into the case, the useless one can't.

    I understand the artwork is done, but if it's ever to be re-worked, maybe consider adding something like flags or tapestries to impart some color on this map. 

  17. I'm having some trouble installing Ajantis BG1, specifically the component 'Ajantis SoD NPC: Crossmod Content'.  Weidu bombs out with:

    To troubleshoot this, I've reduced my EET install to just EET, BG1NPC, and then this mod.  Despite what the error may suggest, skipping the "shield" component has no effect either way.

    EET v13.4, vBG1NPC 30, AJANTISBG1 v19.
