Sword +1, +3 vs undead, 'Harrower'. Added by BGEE. Two copies: one is wielded by Elkart (in Skie's story) and one is randomly stuffed into the belt of Zeela the amazon cleric, who can't use it. No generic alternative.

Further, as implemented by BD, uses the generic long sword +1 bam, thus increasing the suckitude.  No reason for Zeela to have it at all.

  2. Personally I think it's bad design to prevent further recruitment. Edwin does this too. A newb's just going to reload rather than miss out, otherwise the player's using meta knowledge to avoid the initial talk until he's ready for that npc to join.

I think a combo of 1-3;  recycle just enough lines to recruit.

especially when i mess it up and accidentally move the healer during spellcasting

Do you happen to know if a spell prevented moving would it still cancel the casting if you misclicked like this?

  4. This reminds me of when crafting invaded rpgs. Cromwell was decent, but Cespenar was just obnoxious. Too many top tier weapons were upgradable, making finding a new one half as exciting because you knew it probably wasn't its best version. Then NWN just went full baloney. Every other creature dropped a clump of hair or pelt or horn or ichor or whatever, so you've got a weird pantry in your backpack, hoping to stumble across a literal recipe. Sometimes dev intent is asinine and should be ignored. Games aren't religions.

  5. When I know enough to ask the question properly, I won't need it answered.

I mean, you could have the weapon cast a spell upon equipping that eliminates all enemies' physical resistances... but I don't think that is the intent.

That is exactly how I interpreted it:  Attacking someone with X resistance?  Set their resistance to 0.  Let's say this is the case either way, how are you achieving this as an equipped effect?  Zero items have 326 there.  On-hit effects are in abundance, so I'm hoping there's customizable target effect filtering that doesn't rely on scripts similar to EFF/IDS bonuses to thac0.

  6. I propose adding back in a 3 second loading screen, occurring each Master Area change, and randomly once every 10-20 (sub? Servant?) areas. The old "incorrect" one about importing your character to NWN should stay in.

Developer intent is 100% on seeing these. Definitely a part of the game experience. If there's another way to see these in-game without needing player input, I'd accept that as a reasonable substitute.

  7. I've only been doing this a few weeks, so wait until a veteran comes along before wasting too much time on my response.

    Here's what weidu could do:

    1. scan for all CREs with the various physical resistances
    2. create EFFs that multiply damage of the type resisted by an amount that essentially negates the resistance
    3. apply those EFFs to the appropriate weapons that deal the relevant damage types and have them target the appropriate CREs

  8. Figured. Maybe that's why the originals allowed full druid access, as compensation.

Eyy, nature boy. Vose are some nice spells you've got vere. Real erffy and green. Would be a shame if somefin 'appened to 'em. Accidents 'appen, if you know wha' I mean.

  9. I don't know if this is considered a bug, but in a C/R multi the ranger spell slots aren't being added to the cleric's.  There is no other multi to compare, but essentially the ranger is losing his spell slots simply because he's also a divine caster and the engine is just taking the higher level class's slots.  An 11/10 C/R only has the allotment of a C11, not the assumed C11+R10.  If rangers accessed arcane magic instead, there'd be no issue.

  10. The concept of summoning is wack anyway. Teleport in enslaved creatures? Absurd. Instant (relatively) outer plane summons instead of days/weeks long ritual prep and casting following months/years of research? Should just stick to the basic meatshield/fodder role and use whatever CRE fits best.
