Eh, it's true that the banter packs are heavy on the Flanderisation, but that's in the nature of banters, to a certain extend. That's precisely why they play nicely with all the friendship expansion mods such as this one, which allow you to explore depths of a character not discernible from the witty banter. I like both of them.

Sounds like the simplest solution would be to change those resolution variables from 99 to 96, then?
-
Is there any technical reason the BG1 and BG2 main components of this mod cannot be separated? It would be great if we could use one or the other only. I'm wondering if it'd be simply a matter of commenting out all the BG1 part in the main component, as a cursory glance at the code makes the two seem technically independent of each other?
-
Would you recommend using EBG1 together with Transitions anyway? Or is there little point to it and I should just stick to one of them? I do prefer how EBG1 handles things (Korlasz, e.g.), preserving more existing game content. Ideally I would just like to use EBG1 for the first transition from BG1 to SoD and Transitions for the second from SoA to ToB, but since Transitions is not a modular mod that does not seem possible. But I am really keen to try the latter function to be able to remain in SoA after the final fight against Irenicus.

Skitia's Wings and BG2 NPC Pack should be added to the list, I think. This also goes for Love Conquers All, Lava's Dorn and Hexxat Friendships, Dark Tidings, and Crucible.
Aurora's Shoes and Boots has received an EET upgrade, although it's as of yet an unofficial patch by Austin.
-
Glad to report that it seems like most of the mods in question have seen EET updates by now, so I'll finally give EET a try this time around. Although many of these recent patches don't seem to have seen much playtesting yet, I guess someone will have to make a start.

Was any of this ever actually implemented in code? I thought ToB:R never got out of alpha.
The intrigue between Gromnir and Yaga sounds great, though.

Nah, I like the clicking. It gives you time to actually ponder the separate parts of the prophecy rather than be overwhelmed by them.
In general, I've said it many times, but I adore the concept of WoP. No matter which path you end up taking, the mere knowledge that you can be your own fate's master and choose a different one adds so much to ToB. I'm surprised that the difference between vanilla and EE should be so fatal, as EE compatibility doesn't seem to be that much of a problem for other mods.
It's a real catch-22 these days. Many of the more interesting new mods aren't compatible with BGT anymore, yet some staples still aren't with EE... Really triggers my analysis paralysis and leads me to defer my next playthrough again and again like Buridan's Ass.
-
Seconded! This really is one of the most well-written expansions to NPC and quest content, and it's a real shame it might go down the devil's circle route of Wheels of Prophecy, with people recommending against installing it because of its bugs and the bugs thus remaining undocumented and unaddressed...

I'm glad to hear she's doing alright, at least. Russia must be a scary place to be these days. Please send her our enduring appreciation!

That's a very good suggestion. There's a couple of other features of that mod which might be desirable for the EEs too. I've posted it in that mod's thread, but it seems the creator hasn't been seen on SHS for a while.

Lore
in The Crucible
That's actually a great idea and pretty much the only way I can see to reconcile the 5E plot with the story of the games. Certified headcanon.

Ah, yes I actually agree with this critique of Isra in ToB. In fact, I think I wrote something similar in my review back then. For BG and SoA though, she's a great addition. Adrian on the other hand really comes into his own in ToB - he's got some great interaction with Nalia & Jaheira, and alternative player interactions depending on alignment.
-
IIRC, Demo appears on the top of WK and you have to fight him after all.
-
Some continuous NPC mods really add to that sense of narrative cohesion. Breagar, Xan and Imoen Romance come to mind.
-
Adrian is very much worth a look even if you won't play his romance. He's also very easy to handle, doesn't cause any major drama or complain about being left behind, etc. Then again, I'd say all these things about Isra, so the question is what you disliked about her?
-
Congrats! I've been toying with this idea for a long time, seeing as most of the in-game "romance" dialogue is actually not all that sexual in nature and could easily be rewritten for regular companionship. Albeit this goes for Viconia less so than the others, which leads me to ask: Are you planning something like this for Anomen and Jaheira as well? I had done the latter at some point, but this was before I knew anything of proper modding, so I realised too late that it wasn't going to be very compatible to use NearInfinity for it, basing the code on an existing megamod installation...
As for the compatibility question: From when I looked into this for these purposes back in the day, I can safely say that the Viconia Friendship mod (as opposed to other friendships which are usually compatible with their respective romances) is essentially a stripped-down version of the vanilla romance, with some expanded or new talks but mostly following a structure of similar events (handmaiden attack etc.), so I wager that it'd be conceptually incompatible with this romance mod.

That's an impressive amount of interjections! Can't wait to try it out.

Magically raising Charisma clearly implies a non-consensual initiation of attraction and needs to be cancelled. /s

Hip hip hooray to the uncrowned queen of G3! They better offer you a nice severance package.
Seriously, I have been in absolute awe at the quantity and quality of your contributions for years; not to mention in the face of the unfortunate antagonism displayed by certain corners. I hope frustration with the latter had nothing to do with this decision and that you will always look back on your modding managerial days secure in the knowledge that you have given hours of joy to so many.

Now this is some truly unexpected good news! What a lovely Christmas present. Had honestly given up hope as I've seen this sort of thing many times before, and never ending well. Eternal gratitude to Liam & the SHS team for proving me wrong.

That's why backups are so important - and it's so infuriating that nobody seems to have kept a backup of CoM or SHS.

Post in the NWN2 Fixes thread over there - there has been a lot of progress over the past couple of years there and I'm sure some of the assembled expertise could have a look at the mod: https://forum.neverwintervault.org/t/nwn2fixes/595

Unfortunately it seems that Gerri wasn't able to update the mod for EE because of the heightened copyright concerns in our day and age (quite ironic considering how AI art is tolerated...). You can manually upscale the pictures by the batch using Gimp but the quality of the results varies a lot... I wish Gerri could update the mod.
PS: Actually, it seems like our Russian friends have got an EET v3.1 of the mod. Maybe someone knows the maintainers and can contact them?
Compatible with Transitions?

Sounds like the pre-WeiDU days. Thanks for the heads-up - I shall steer clear of this one for now, then.
