  1. So i have to edit every single 2 handed sword in the game that way to change their damage? Which ones are actually used by the game? I see a lot of two handed swords with the same description. What do you mean by weidu's -tp2 coding? How is that different from using near infinity? What about weapon style proficeincies?
  2. Ive got near infinity installed and working now...but im confused as to how to mod the following : -Change weapon damages, e.g. making all two handed swords do 2d6 damage instead of 1d10 -Change weapon style bonuses -Modify class/kit features, e.g. making the kensai AC bonus scale per level -I can see in near infinity that missile weapons have a modifier that limits the number of attacks per round. Lets say i wanted to remove this for all bows, do I have to manually edit every bow and remove the effect for each bow? Or is there a faster way to do this? Is it possible to modify strength damage bonuses based on the weapon type as well? E.G. Making two handed weapons receive 1.5x the strength damage bonus?
  3. Hmm i think the problem is from modmerge actually since i had to use that to install the tweaks. Any idea on how to fix it? Edit : Did some searching, apparently you need to make a folder called "dlc" in the game folder and move the sod-dlc.zip file there first. This is not mentioned when you run modmerge.exe for some reason.
  4. I installed the folloing tweaks : // Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods // The top of the file is the 'oldest' mod // ~TP2_File~ #language_number #component_number // [subcomponent Name -> ] 5. Okay, i can open the program that way but for some reason i still cannot run the .jar directly. Shouldnt running the .jar give me the popup to select the chitin key as well?
  6. I can run it from the command prompt, but i get a popup asking me to locate the "infinity keyfile".
  7. C:\Users\Question>java -version java version "9.0.4" Java SE Runtime Environment (build 9.0.4+11) Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (build 9.0.4+11, mixed mode) C:\Users\Question>java -jar NearInfinity.jar Error: Unable to access jarfile NearInfinity.jar
  8. I have java 9.04 installed and i can run other java files fine. This is the error btw (See attached).
  9. That is the same .jar file i downloaded, and it will not run. It complains that it cannot find the main class.
  10. Im trying to follow this tutorial to edit two handed weapons to 2d6 damage : https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/25517/mod-tutorial-how-to-make-items Except that it tells me to download near infinity from this page : http://www.shsforums.net/topic/45358-nearinfinity/ Which does not seem to include any download links for near infinity at all...the OP says he attached the latest version to the post but i see no attachments at all... So I tried downloading near infinity from here : https://github.com/FredSRichardson/NearInfinity/releases I downloaded the .jar, put it in my BG 1 : EE folder, but when I try to run it, the .jar freaks out and says that it could not find the main class. This is very confusing, where do i go to download the compiled, latest version of near infinity?
  11. I extracted the files to my BG 1 : EE folder, ran setup-cdtweaks.exe, and i got a command prompt popup asking me to choose my language. But the window does not accept my input...no matter what keys i press (like 0 for english), nothing happens at all and i cannot proceed in the installation process. Whats going on? Debug file says : WARNING: parsing log [WeiDU.log]: Sys_error("WeiDU.log: No such file or directory") Choose your language: 0 [English] 1 [Czech (Translation by Razfallow and Vlasák)] 2 [Francais (Translation by Anomaly, Elgaern the Dragon Slayer, Isaya and elminster)] 3 [Deutsch (Uebersetzung von Leonardo Watson, Caswallon und Jester)] 4 [italiano (translation by Andrea Colombo and improb@bile; original EoU by Antonio Favata)] 5 [Korean (Translation by web2air)] 6 [Polski (Translation by yarpen, Artanis, dragionian, Evendur, Grjgori, and Neminus)] 7 [Russian (Translation by Creepin, Domi, Kulyok, Serdrick, and aerie.ru)] 8 [Espanol (traducido por Clan DLAN)] Edit : It seems to work after i created a weidu.log file in my BG 1 : EE folder...strange that the installer doesnt work without it and doesnt create the file by itself...
