  1. I know that higher difficulty settings in SOD affects monster spawns...on insane level, way more enemies spawn in some areas. However they dont seem to do anything in the BG 1 campaign. Is there a way to make higher difficulty settings affect spawns in the BG 1 campaign the way it does in SOD?
  2. What do you mean by primary mod component exactly? Doesnt the mod change weapon damage via the .ITM files? Wouldnt just dropping the changed .ITM files into the override folder work?
  3. So is this the order : 1. Uninstall EET_end 2. Install extra mods 3. Install EET_end again
  4. I only want some limited aspects of the mod, e.g. changing all two handed swords to do 2d6 damage instead of 1d10. Would this be compatabile with EET?
  5. Well...why was BWS refusing to install any mods on an EET install then? What was I supposed to do? Whats wrong with the TOB style NPCs? Im playing through the BG 1 campaign and im not having any issues with NPCs at all, they start at level 1 when recruited and I can level them up like normal.
  6. The EET mod compatability list says "Mods installed after EET main component on BG2:EE that MUST BE PATCHED FIRST" But im not sure what that means. Is this mod compatible with EET?
  7. What does this mod do exactly? Does it improve the graphics?
  8. Just the last column value for that one line is enough?
  9. Yea i reloaded to a different save and was able to do it. Not sure if it the 12th gibberling just didnt spawn or it didnt get counted, but I found it weird that I couldnt find the "GIBBERDEAD" global variable in the save using EE keeper.
  10. In AR 4600 AKA the Bear River area, theres a paladin called Laurel that askes you to help her kill some gibberlings. I killed them, but I cant talk to her to finish the quest, no dialogue window appears. Apparently in BG1 the script is supposed to check that C:GetGlobal("Gibberdead","AR4600") = 12. Did EET import this correctly? Theres no such variable in my save (see attached). 000000041-a.rar
  11. In SOD, using the quick save multiple times will create multiple quick save files named Quicksave-1, Quicksave-2, etc, which is nice as it gives you more backups. For some reason, EET on a BG 2 : EE installation is not doing this. Is there a way to enable it?
  12. I didnt have this problem in BG 1:EE. When I only had BG 1:EE, I could double click stuff like arrows/pots to buy or sell more than 1 item at a time. No issues whatsoever. After installing SOD however, I realised that I could not double click to bring up the menu to buy/sell more than 1 item at a time. Rapid left clicking or shift+click does not work...I just cannot get the popup quantity menu to open at all. Now that I have EET installed in a BG 2:EE installation, I just started a new game and still cannot buy/sell more than 1 item at a time at WInthrop's shop or anywhere else. Does anyone have any clue how to fix this? Edit : Just tested something on a hunch. I normally use a speedhack to run the game as it is very slow and sluggish at base speed...I dont know why, but at the base speed, even stuff like the watcher's idle animations in candlekeep looks REALLY slow. So I had a speedhack making the game run at 3x speed which makes everything nice and fluid...I tried turning the speedhack off and I can split stacks just fine, so for some reason the popup menu asking me to choose quantity isnt detecting the double clicks properly with the speedhack on. Does anyone know why the game runs really slowly at base speed? Edit 2 : Nevermind, I changed the max fps in baldur.lua from 30 to 60 and everything works fine now. Just that the mouse scroll speed is still too slow even at max speed, but the game is running at the proper speed now.
  13. Yep, you "hacked" BWS so things are completely messed up, not only regarding you save. You don't have EET installed at all. Please refer to: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/44476/tool-big-world-setup-bws-mod-manager-for-baldurs-gate-enhanced-edition-trilogy-for-windows/p1 Im confused ,I ran EET setup before doing anything with BWS. There were no issues with it. The problem was BWS saw that I had EET installed and then kept complaining that it wasnt a clean installation and it couldnt make a backup. I have EET installed and working...i can select the different campaigns at the menu and everything.
  14. Well thats dissapointing...means all my saves from BG 1 EE got nuked...
  15. I installed EET Tweaks via big world setup, then realised I accidentally installed the component that halves all quest/monster xp and distributes party xp individually. I tried to run the EET Tweaks setup file manually to uninstall those components, but the setup file seems to think i installed none of the components and wont let me uninstall them. How am I supposed to uninstall those components?
  16. To clarify : -I did run DLC Merger for my BG 1 EE/SOD installation in order to install EET core, as otherwise EET core refused to import BG 1 EE/SOD data. However, the save game was made on a BG 1 EE/SOD installation that used modmerge, not DLC merger. -After installing EET Core into BG 2:EE, I had to rename the weidu log to something else, as BWS read the weidu.log, saw that I had installed EET core, and then refused to install anything because it was not a fresh BG 2 installation and it kept complaining that it could not make a backup. Im a bit confused. Are you guys saying that I cannot import BG 1 : EE saves to EET?
  17. I think i finally got EET setup : -Installed EET core -Installed mods via big world setup (which I think is supposed to check if the mods are compatible with EET) -Ran EET_END setup to finish EET installation I then loaded a BG 1 save in which my party was in shandalar's house. For some reason, shandalar's house looked completely different, although the items from the dead cultists were still on the floor. Dorn was in my party, but his name had changed to "I said nothing to you, Viconia!". My main character is also constantly saying random lines like "You get used to it" or "You know...i've been thinking about the last fight we were in". Anyone know what might be causing this? This is the weidu log of mods installed via BWS : // Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods // The top of the file is the 'oldest' mod // ~TP2_File~ #language_number #component_number // [subcomponent 18. How do i do that? Edit : Great, the program is telling me there is no backup folder...even though i selected to create one... How is this program recommended? Its insanely buggy.
  19. Sigh...i had to start over trying to install all the mods again. Now BWS is complaining that : The extraction of the following mod(s) failed: EET (Enhanced Edition Trilogy) Tweaks: The Mod itself (EET_Tweaks-latest.zip) Some files were not extracted. Do you want the BWS to run an integrity test on those files first, provide the files yourself (see remarks) or just continue? Enter [t]est, [p]rovide or [c]ontinue. Just...why is this so insanely buggy...ive spent hours trying to install mods for my EET setup now... This is driving me crazy. How am i supposed to proceed now? The whole folder is a total mess. I cant even find the backup that BWS allegedly made before installing the mods.
  20. Oh thanks, that worked. I tried out big world setup since the readme says its recommended for mod installation...but im having a lot of problems with it. During the installation process, it keeps skipping some mods and it refused to install strategems. Now its complaining that a mod called "item patcher" is not present but refuses to let me skip the mod so i cant proceed installing the rest. Im not sure what mod this is because big world setup doesnt tell me where the download page is or anything.
  21. Uh...but setup-EET_Fix.exe is the mod itself. The other .exes listed are for EET i think, not the mod...
  22. Okay so installed the EET core component successfully. At this point im supposed to install the other mods i want to use, then run setup-EET_end.exe right? I downloaded EET fixes and tweaks, put them in my BG 2 folder, tried to run the installers...and then the command prompt window just closes on its own. I checked the debug files, but there are no error messages at all. Even weirder, the setup files for EET fixes and tweaks deletes themselves after a while. I have no idea why...they just dissapear from my hard drive. I have microsoft security essentials installed but i have the realtime protection mode turned off. For example this is the fixpack debug file : WeiDU v 24400 Log D:\Baldur s Gate II Enhanced Edition v2 5\setup-EET_Fix.exe version = 24600 version = 24600 Newest WeiDU is version 24600, updating! WeiDU files in version order: [setup-EET_gui.exe] version 24600 [setup-EET_end.exe] version 24600 [setup-EET.exe] version 24600 [setup-EET_Fix.exe] version 24400 [setup-EET_gui.exe] loaded, 975360 bytes Copying [setup-EET_gui.exe] -> [setup-EET_Fix.exe]: false At this point the setup file closes by itself and after a while, the setup file dissapears from my hard drive with no explanation. Whats going on?
