  1. Wait wait wait everybody, let's make some clarity.

    Since:

    1) This mod is already EE compatible, but not EET compatible;

    2) EET compatibility patches already exist, according to what K4thos wrote in the second post here, but the Dropbox links no longer work;

    3) EET compatibility patches are included in BWP fixpack (source: http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=27741&page=33#entry248962) ;

    4) Roxanne is at the moment the most active mantainer of BWP Fixpack (source: https://github.com/BiGWorldProject/BiG-World-Fixpack/commits/master ).

    I asked:

    1) K4thos, would you provide again those patches?

    2) Roxanne, as soon as K4thos releases the patches again, would you include them in BWP Fixpack?

    Unless there is something I completely misunderstood, what I proposed is completely possible, no intervention would be required from the mod author, and the mod would't be modified (so, no 10000 GP tome required).

  2. Anyone has the patches? I would like to submit them to the author.

    IIRC you K4thos made the patches, could you attach them here please?

    Edit:

    I was reading here:

    Roxanne, as I read in the post I provided above, "standard procedure" would be incorporating patches that provide EET compatibility into Big World Fixpack.

    In this way, no intervention would be needed by the mod author, who doesn't seem to be very active at the moment.

    As long as we get those patches, would you do that? :)

  3. But problem is I won't be able to recruit him without Dynaheir. Or will he be alone in BG city?

    Edit: Ok ok got it, to play with the same 6 men party during all of EET is simply impossible :p

    Last question I promise XD If I keep Jaheira and Minsc during ALL of BG1 and NEVER get them back during SoD after I lose them, will I find them again in SoA exactly as I left them?

  4. Yes, I thought it wasn't so easy..

    Could you just tell me if for plot reasons Minsc and/or Jaheira ever leave the party for plot reasons in SoD?

    If no, I don't have to worry about anything. If yes, I must give up the idea of having them in party during SoD, unless SCS gets updated (something that might never happen).

    MasterOfDisguise wrote he had Minsc at the end of SoD prologue and that he found him at the camp, so I assumed the plot made him leave the party, but maybe (hopefully) I misunderstood.

    Edit: Read a walkthrough. Yes, party gets disbanded. Damn. Guess I'll have Jaheira and Minsc again in my party only from SoA on.

  5. Found the solution. In BWS you have to manually pause after the first component installs, and only then you can set that flag with CFF Explorer, otherwise the proper setup file doesn't exist.

    I also deselected "install in batches" at the beginning of the BWS installation. Thanks to these two adjustments, I verified that I get not ONE single error of any kind, installation is perfect ;)

  6. This is getting more complicated. I did some testing:

    1) Situation A: console teleport from Beregost (chapter 3) to Dragonspear Castle Exterior. The dialogue works as in the BGEE part.

    2) Situation B: new game selecting SoD campaign. The dialogue that should allow me to recruit a single NPC from a pair is not there, I simply can't recruit only one NPC.

    No really understanding what should happen in a normal game. If someone can do some testing too with the "allow NPC pairs to separate" component from SCS it would be good. We could also write the results in the party continuity thread.

    Edit: Getting funnier. Got to the coalition camp with Charname, Minsc, Jaheira, Viconia, Imoen and Edwin. Khalid and Dynaheir are there. I remove Minsc from party. Minsc disappears. LOL

    @MasterOfDisguise: you wrote you had Minsc in party at the end of SoD prologue, he wasn't in party anymore when you got to the camp due to plot?

  7.

    So, considering I recruited only Minsc in BG1 (I installed the "allow NPC pairs to separate" component from SCS, if I remember correctly), that I will keep him as long as the plot allows me, and that I left Dynaheir for good, alive in Nashkell, should I encounter any strange situation?

    Considering your explanation, I'm inclined to think that I will encounter them both again and again I will be able to recruit Minsc and discard Dynaheir. But correct me if I'm wrong.

    Well, if you consider the fact that the SCS wasn't build for the SoD in the first place, many things could happen.. the files involved need to be looked at to confirm, but most likely Dynaheir will be at the camp with Minsc... but after that it can be that you can't separate them or perhaps you can... but likely not.

    But:

    - SCS was made compatible with EET (I remember reading something like "SCS + K4thos EET fix" during installation);

    - SCS, and so that specific component, is treated as EET compatible in BWS;

    - As I understood, in EET the various campaign are treated simply like different areas of the same game engine and not as single separated game engines (technically SoD in EET is just a part managed by the BG2EE engine, and should obey to its rules);

    I'd say I will be able to recruit both -> discard one -> lose both -> ask Minsc to join alone, as in BGEE.

    But this is only a logical reasoning, based on little to none technical knowledge of the matter. Maybe K4thos can shed some light here.

    Edit: Thanks K4thos, we wrote at the same time :p Could you also confirm that "Allow NPC pairs to separate" should work normally also in the SoD part?

  9. Hello, I want to report a bug. At the beginning of the encounter with the bandits that raided the caravan of Entar Silvershield's son, after the dialogue only the leader of the bandits becomes hostile, the other ones remain neutral and you have to attack them manually.
