Caedwyr
Would it be possible to create an item(s) that acts as a spellbook? For example, in PnP, high level mages tend to have multiple spell books, and not stick all of their spells in one book. To simulate this, each mage could have spellbooks in their inventory that track what spells have been scribed into them (this would require some sort of way of setting which spell book is active, and tracking which book is active). Possibly this could be done with globals/locals that get set (Is scribing a spell detectable?). When a player chooses to switch spellbooks, they'd activate SpellbookB, and it would erase all the spells from A and replace them with the ones from B (and set SpellbookB to active). You could sell blank spellbooks at assorted booksellers, or even have partially filled spellbooks drop from certain mages. And of course to make things even more complex, you'd want a way to keep track of who is currently using what spellbook (can you share spellbooks that aren't currently being used with friends?) Obviously, this would introduce all sort of interesting tactical choices and additional modding opportunities, but is it possible in the first place? Link to comment
Miloch
Sounds complicated. I always thought the "have partially filled spellbooks drop from particular mages" was simulated by some mages dropping a bunch of scrolls... Link to comment
