Check for Evil nearby in script

I am sure the solution is in front of my eyes, but how would I check for any evil aligned creature in a range of 30? I have seen "Range([NEUTRAL],30)" works, but if I try using EVIL or MASK_EVIL, the installer yells at me. I guess the "neutral" is the characterisation that goes along with "enemy", so is there a way to check for evil creatures at all, or does EVILBUTBLUE does what I am looking for?
