Actually, 3D Realms recently announced it was gonna be released this year. They offered a new screenshot after, what, eleven years? Apparently that was suppose to raise our hopes.

Here's to Aklon's future release. Honestly, though, this is sort of like Khadion; it's more of a force of nature instead of a mod, really. No matter what the quality is, I know I'll download it and play it and be like "hellz yeah, this is what I've been waiting so long for!".

I guess every community's got to have a mod like that, whether Aklon, Khadion, or a half-elven archer for the insatiably nosy.

'bout Stalker. I remember some notes about 'post-apo RPG game based on Strugacki brothers book' from mhm... 'A.D. 2000 ? :-)

Earlier than that, I think; I've been told it started ten years ago. The funny thing is that the brothers(Boris, since Arkady died seventeen years ago) got no royalties from the game whatsoever.

True, but as we can see, Stalker didn't took from book anything more than intriguing idea of Sphere. Differences are too big (f.e. in Strugackis book Sphere was created by aliens and action was settled in England; in Stalker everything is fault of Czernobyl).

But, huh, well... that was little offtop.

I'd also like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who put in their words of support. Hopefully I can have Aklon ready before Duke Nukem is, and also have it be worth the long wait!
