RavenBlack
I wandered into the first floor of Saerk's mansion just now (usually I keep to the 2nd floor). I killed a cook who went hostile, and my reputation dropped a whopping 10 points. Does this seem a tad excessive to anyone else, or is it normal? Link to comment
devSin
Normal. It's just a generic peasant, and you lose big points regardless of their allegiance when killed. Reload and avoid the cook and the butler this time. The coding in this area is severely deficient (either they forgot or they never intended you to be here if Anomen's plot wasn't on), and like Balthis' estate, there's not really much point in going unless you like to kill guards and get some minor treasure (it's not something that can be "fixed," as there's really no indication of what exactly is supposed to happen). strayshift
Technically they are 'innocent's' and posed no threat to your character (other than a dodgy stomach) - the amount was 10 points because your intitial reputation will have been high - the lower your rep the less you lose - but you still lose. It is to discourage the flinging of area effect spells about in cities and utter anarchy as evil characters attack anyone they choose. G Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
But... If you truly want to have high reputation for killing people, just change the REPUTATI.2da . Link to comment
RavenBlack
The coding in this area is severely deficient (either they forgot or they never intended you to be here if Anomen's plot wasn't on), and like Balthis' estate, there's not really much point in going unless you like to kill guards and get some minor treasure (it's not something that can be "fixed," as there's really no indication of what exactly is supposed to happen). The guards on both floors automatically die if Anomen's plot is on, so there's no point that way either. Makes me wonder why the cook and butler are still there, shouldn't they have fled the area or something? Link to comment
