Why does the personals bams played by effect 215 are played behind the character ? SPHEALIN is played in front of the character, and i can see the healing stuff. The same for SPFIRESB... but if i want to play CCWOUNDH or WDEATH2 or ICELANH, all from IWD2, i use the same effet of SPHEALIN (just copy/past) and change the ressource from SPHEALIN to CCWOUNDH, the bam is played ...... behind. Why ? Can someone help me, please ? Link to comment
Avenger Posted June 3, 2009 Share Posted June 3, 2009 Because it is play VVC, not play BAM. When you have only a BAM, it plays it using a 'default' VVC. Link to comment

I think sphealin and spfiresb are VVCs which can specify additional settings (like "blend" at 0x1a bit 1 or similar that might affect it). Avenger Posted June 3, 2009 Share Posted June 3, 2009 Well, telling that vvc's could set blend and other features isn't much of a helping What might be helpful is to try to set the Y and Z fields of the vvc. I think a positive Z value will put the VVC over the actor. Or, maybe copy sphealin and use it as a template. Creating a good VVC is kinda black magic, as many fields are not discovered or partially understood. Link to comment
