The BG1 NPCs extended dialogs with Thalantyr.

If the player has Minsc, Garrick or Faldorn, their dialog is triggered so that it interferes with the Melicamp's transmutation quest's journals update, it's a minor problem as the quest log doesn't really do a thing, but still...

So the easiest solution is probably just add in the original journal update to all the 11 possible options, as it now is just in the first one.
