Displacer
Is anything known about the effects embedded in the cre file? I'm at the point where these are processed but I can't find any info on them. Only thing I can say at the moment is they are 0x30 in length. Link to comment
devSin
They should be bogstandard effect structures. IWD or BG2 was the first to use EFFv2. Link to comment
Displacer
They should be bogstandard effect structures. IWD or BG2 was the first to use EFFv2. The listing for effects says its an extended version of the one embedded in creatures, so is there a listing for the one that's embedded in creatures? Or am I reading this wrong. Link to comment
Avenger
Maybe the listing thinks these are effv2. But, effv1 is 0x30 length. So, it is safe to say, they are 'bog standard' effv1 structures. Link to comment
Displacer
Ok, but is there a listing in the IESDP (or elsewhere) for the structure? The only one I see is for effv2, or am I missing something? Link to comment
Kung Fu Man
He's right, as far as I can tell the pages for CRE files are exclusively pointing there for effects, and there's nothing in sight for v1. Here's a layout for them 0x00 (2 bytes) Type 0x02 (1 byte) Target 0x03 (1 byte) Power 0x04 (4 bytes) Parameter1 0x08 (4 bytes) Parameter2 0x0C (1 byte) Timing Mode 0x0D (1 byte) Dispel/Resistance 0x0E (4 bytes) Duration 0x12 (1 byte) Probability 1 0x13 (1 byte) Probability 2 0x14 (8 byte) Unknown 0x1C (4 byte) # dice/Max Level 0x20 (4 byte) Dice size/Min Level 0x24 (4 byte) Save type 0x28 (4 byte) Save bonus 0x2C (4 byte) Unknown Link to comment
