Saved games with tweak pack install

Sorry if this is an obvious question, I looked around and couldn't find any information about it, will I have to restart my current game if i install the tweak pack to garner the benefits of it?

Depends on the component. Here's some idea how tweaks work.

 

Some components go into effect immediately with no need to restart. Most Cosmetic and Rule Changing tweaks fall here, along with some Convenience/Cheat tweaks.

 

However, if it effects stores or NPC's, you should restart. Virtually all Content and Joinable NPC tweaks fall here. The reason is if you have already entered the area or encountered the NPC, they are now stored in your saved games.
