Edwin Bug?

I am trying to do MaeVar's quest in order to add Edwin. I took care of quest number one, stole the Necklace from the Priestess of Talos. I spoke with Edwin, he told me to go to Rayic's house and kill him. I go there and I cannot open or unlock the door. I look in my Journal and it is not listed that Edwin sent me to Rayic's house. I go back to speak with Edwin and he won't talk to me. Is there a CluAConsole code that will trigger something to get me back on track? Or other possible fix?

while it would be safer to find and set the appropriate variables, I'd first try with just jumping over that fence.

I think I once ran into an issue where I dropped by Rayic's place at the wrong time of day and it was all locked up. If you don't have a journal entry, though, that probably isn't your problem.

 

I've never managed to get the console to work on BG, so I can't give you the precise code language to use, but the variable you want to set is: Global("EdwinJob","GLOBAL",1)
