Trying to do scripts to install my mod order without actually having to 'extract' the files into the BG dir.

 

I'm wondering if the G3 install files (those with a G3 image) have some kind of switch for silent installs into a dir.

Well there's a humongous compilation for most mods, it not only extracts & installs, but also downloads the mod files, fixes a more than a few and arranges the files so they can actually be installed correctly.

 

Yep, what I am suggesting here is not for you to use the BWS, but learn from it(look what it's made out of) if you can.

G3 .exe mod downloads are self-extracting archives. You should be able to use command-line 7zip or WinRAR to extract them.

 

e.g.

 

7z.exe x bg2_tweaks-v10.exe

 

or

 

UnRAR.exe x bg2_tweaks-v10.exe
