PST crash near Pharrod

I've been playing PST on my android device, but when I reach Pharrod, (or at least I think I am, it's in that hideout place) The game crashes. So I now want to play it on the PC, since I still want to finish the game.

 

However, copying the save games from my tablet does not work, when I want to load them, it instantly crashes. Can this be fixed somehow?

you can post a crash report and log so we can fix it. are you using 0.8.0?

I use 0.7.2 version. 0.8 crashes on my device

 

Is it not possible to exchange saves between GemRB and non-GemRB version?

if you arent using 0.8.0 there is nothing i can do for you other than help you get 0.8.0 running (i highly doubt it actually crashes)

I got 0.8.0 to work!

I did not know it used a different folder!

scripting problem of some kind. hard to say what without a backtrace and such. likely another case of the script getting deleted prematurely.

 

can you post a save and instructions on how to reproduce?

Avenger, so this issue is because a script causes a script change? then that causes the "old" script to be deleted while still running?

yes, a known old ugly bug pegged for times after fuzzie's or Avenger's release.

Is it something that is going to be resolved in future releases? If there isn't any fix I will have to quit this game and play BG2 instead...

 

Also never really got an answer about using saved games between GemRB and non-GemRB versions..... Is this possible?

Someday.

 

We try to keep savegame compatibility both ways, but I'm pretty sure it's currently broken for some games.

Saved games are usually broken if you try to move from gemrb to other game. But gemrb can usually load any saved games.

About the script switch, it is not trivial, and i have absolutely no time atm to dig deeper.

Hopefully fuzzie will be faster than me. Or someone else.
