Loz
I'm preparing for a new run as its been a while since I played the game. SCS is of course one of the critical mods but I have a couple of questions. 1) Last time I remember the mod using ToBex (?) and creating horrible looking arrow icons on spell pages so you can have more than the current 24 or whatever spell limit per level. Is there any way I can disable this particular tweak? I actually like the limit to spells learnable and really can't stand the arrow icons. 2) In browsing the readme I note the improved fiend components' cast spells as normal mages has been removed from the main installer and into configuration options. Last time I played with fiends (and other monsters) casting as normal wizards and it is by far my preferred option. My question is will these fiends still perform as well as they did before (it was fine) or has the option been moved because they AI is now even less optimised for longer casting? 3) I'm still using TuTu and vanilla BG2. I note some people have reported problems with newer versions. Which are the currently recommended versions to use for this setup? Link to comment

Yes, you can edit the ToBEx'es tweaks by editing the ToBEx.ini file in the game directory. Or you can install the ToBEx mod itself first and op out the tweak. The ToBEx mod can be installed before any other mod... except the Tutu as that makes it's own game, with the conversion process, so the ToBEx needs to be installed in both. And if you actually use the non Tutu interface, the arrow icons pretty much suits to the spellbook GUI. 2) I would just say that the component has been moved because the structure of the installer has been changed. Loz
Thanks for the answers. Which is the recommended version of scs for TuTu? And do you guys have any other recommendations of buggy components to avoid? Last time I played vampires were buggy and bat swarms a pain; also mind flayers annoyingly seemed capable of teleporting to invisible party members on the other side of the map and were a chore.
