A bit neither here nor there, but @Bartimaeus do you know off-hand if there is any kind of delay in Prismatic Mantle's reactions triggering from being hit? Like, any delay at all?

Not to my knowledge - thought it worked the same as a Fire Shield, only with different possible effects. Why?

Now that I know the contingency can be triggered by hits through PfMW, I’m looking to adapt this as a “block one hit per round” thing. - the contingency triggers a subspell that cancels the protection, and the whole thing is renewed every round. But if there is a delay in the contingent cancelation, then it could block more than one hit which would not be intended.
