temnix
I want to delete a song from an area's songlist, something I've never done before. The Weidu readme says that "songlist" is the string variable I need to give to the fj_are_structure function, but this code fails: COPY_EXISTING ~AR1113.ARE~ ~override~ LPF fj_are_structure INT_VAR fj_delete_mode = 1 STR_VAR fj_structure_type = ~songlist~ END I'm surprised, because this sort of thing exactly works for deleting actors. Here I can the "not found" error for the area, but it is definitely there. Quote Link to comment
DavidW
You can't delete the 'songlist' structure, because every area has exactly one songlist structure - deleting it would give a malformed file. What you want to do is edit that structure. (I'd say more, but I wouldn't want to be unnecessarily detailed.) Quote Link to comment

Why are you deleting actors? Does COMPATIBILITY mean nothing to you? Do you want people to not use your mods? Are you stupid? (actually, don't answer that last one) Quote Link to comment
DavidW
1 minute ago, Artemius I said: Why are you deleting actors? Does COMPATIBILITY mean nothing to you? That's overstated. There are plenty of legit reasons to delete actors. (SCS deletes the Amazons and Gullykin assassins, for instance.) Of course you have a compatibility problem with a mod that wants to use those actors, but that just means the two mods are trying to do two incompatible things. Quote Link to comment
