Domi
I'm musing over Valeero's backstory: she left her assignment in Luskan to join PC. There are a few choices I can play with when Valeero meets NWN forces: she was betrayed by her acolyte and pronounced a deserter; she is hailed as a hero and allowed to stay with the PC as her assignment; depending on PC's alignment she is either hero or deserter; that last can be either direct (ie good PC - Valeero is a hero; evil PC - Valeero is a deserter) or inverse (ie good PC - Valeero is a deserter). Cheers. Link to comment
Raven_Song
I like the alignment based idea, as it is doubtful that the militia would understand why a supposedly good cleric of Lathander is working for a villainous PC. Link to comment
BigRob
Alignment is a good basis, but is there a way to track the way that quests are resolved? So if the player did things in a Ten-towns friendly manner (or can one just not help doing that?), that information could get back to the militia, and they consider that Valeero is a hero, still working for the towns. If the player took other paths, then she might be despised as a deserter. Link to comment
Domi
I don't think there is a Reputatioin tracker in IWD2, but I can do a check for key characters being dead or alive by the end of Ch2 (ie Emma Moonblade, Kaitlin, Braston etc) + Globals that set Targos hostile to check if PC left a trail of bodies behind him. Noctalys
Fascinating. I'd have to cast my vote behind Bigrob on this idea. It would make her story seem that much more dynamic. Link to comment
