Thanks guys. I do have a few new things, but not good enough to share right now.

Well, I will see the writing finished by this September. I really do understand all the irritations and such at the delays, etc.

I still intend to work on Durlyle, but I focused on Del first, and she will be first.

I actually do have a couple dialogues for ToB finished, but school is taking a larger portion of time than anticipated, especially until finals are over.

It has not been days, nor weeks, but months, or even a year that the same thing is being repeated time and time again.

*nods* Yes, much of the time is repitition of the same, and have acknowledged as such...as well recognizing it is frustrating to get the same statement as well.

I guess I could have dressed the message up better, and I certainly should have been more mindful of what I said about getting 'right back on Del.' I doubt it would have been much better if I left everything quiet sa well.

Is delainy going to be completed, or is it just an abandoned project, a rotten corpse kept "fresh" with a bit of flowers dropped on it once in a while?

No, it hasn't been abandoned. If it had been, I would just say so, and move it to the abandoned pile.

And no, it isn't fair for those who have been waiting on Del to have waited this long. Heavens knows I hate it when I'm waiting on something, and much the same happens.

However, I had also been working on Tashia at the same time (and yes, I know it had been completed a bit over a year ago). There was a long stretch of time I did no writing at all (for various reasons, the biggest one currently being school). And the small projects I took on? It was things I did want to do, and knew I could create in a much shorter time.

So, in that regard, I can't really say I'm much different than what seems pretty typical for most other BG I/II modders.

Worse comes worse, I will finish writing Del this summer (by summer, I mean May-July). The material, except for a few things is done for SoA, and 33% of NPC talks for ToB are finished. Do I intend to rewrite it? Yes, but only so far as to keep the tone consistent since some of the material is 3+ years old.

Will I be sharing more material? Yes, I will do so in the forthcoming months.

Will there be other projects? No. As stated before, I am on the last bit of it. And I am not going to take on any others either.

Well, most of the material will remain much of the same, but I do want to try and keep the writing consistent since it has been written in spurts off and on for several years now. However, that said, the majority of it will remain much the same.

Nope, the roles haven't been cast yet. After I finish the last of the small projects (which I'm working on, and will give more information as allowed for release), then I want to rewrite Del (SoA and ToB). Voicing will then come after the writing is down...

Yep, I will be getting back to Del...probably at the end of next month, as other stuff becomes finished.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Overall, things are going alright...mostly busy due to school. However, the side project I mentioned a bit back is proceeding well, although still slowly.

One part is entirely written...and a bit of another is in good shape. These will consist of new quests, etc. to expand the game. After a good portion is done, I will definitely refocus on Del entirely.

But are you planning to voice Del? I wouldn't mind her with one of the pre-soundsets, the second one.

At least for things like battlecries, etc. she was going to be voiced. More voicing...it would be nice, but there is a lot of material. Anyways, the voice would be an issue once the writing part was entirely finished.

Please, forgive me if i ask... but... if i was to look at numbers, what would the percentage of del completion? (i admit, i hope to hear 99.9

If we really had too, SoA is finished (no voicing). However, that doesn't include some editing issues, such as removing actions, cleaning up language, etc. This does mean all NPC banters are done (4 each). Flirts aren't done, nor other bits and pieces I meant to include. The quests are written up, but haven't been coded at the time.

ToB is only about 10% written for lovetalks, and 20% written on NPC banters. There are no anticipated quests as such (there really is little room to shoehorn such a thing in).

The coder went to do other things, but I did get a couple other offers. Still, until I get the writing done, I don't want to make them wait on me.

Well, not to give too much away, but my part is working on some of the small modules I mentioned way back on this thread, and incorporated into a bigger mod. There will definitely be extra quests, for one thing...

I apologize, and don't want to be so oblique. Until we get other bits done, and agree, though, I will keep it secret

Once I really get into the swing of things (like with being at school), and such, I will definitely getting more on Del done. Yes, I realize it is going up to four years in development...

I can honestly say I've felt more like writing since getting back into this than I have a long time...though I also have gotten rusty.

Yes, I have actually got a few things done, and worked on. I will also finish writing up something else this weekend first (barring circumstances).

Let me say that knowing a lot of you still have interest in Del is heartening.

There has just been some minor moving around of things. No post was deleted, but on a couple of stories, all the comments were moved into a comment thread. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

It isn't going to die. It's just I don't do well at holidays during the best of times, but that is being addressed...and that's not including the normal holiday stuff.

Sorry for the quiet.

You're right Hide and Seek, I did say that...and like other instances where I said I would get to work, I have been wrong. That's why I really shouldn't even give any specific time frames. I dislike it when someone gives a date, and doesn't hit it...and here I do the same thing.

Thanks everyone. The small stuff I have in mind really shouldn't take that long to do. In fact, a good portion of it is already written. For example, I want to try and add some adventures/mysteries to the game, but it isn't anything that is going to require any new areas, etc.

When you write commentary, you don't have to like what you read, but do keep it civil.

There is so much work done, I would hate it to see it all go to waste. It may take me a while...hell, Tashia was even older than Delainy on the material written up (some of it, anyways. I would say that 3/4 of it is relatively new, though). It is fairly easy to say that Tashia Redux (for lack of a better term) will see a release sometime this month.

Trust me, I wince every time I realize it is coming up 3 years. I can only apologize (and I also know how old this gets), and try to get the writing done. The coding...is another issue.

Glad to see you won't release Del until the ToB portion is done. I hate reading a book just to find out someone has torn out the last chapters (what? That's never happened to you?

As long as it has taken, it should include both. But yes, it is nice to have both segments at once.
