  1. Every good warrior knows the need to have something up his sleeve when things turn dire. As a result, expect to be seeing a few new items specially made for this mod.

     

    Lemming Amulet

     

    It is well known that every so often lemmings gather into a massive horde, and migrate into the sea effectively committing suicide. The wearer of this amulet can induce a similar suicidal compulsion in another. The urge is so great that the victim finds himself rushing off in a maddened haze until the they hurl themselves off a cliff.

     

    Special Effects:

     

    Detect Cliffs 3 times per day

    Induce Suicide Run 1 time per day

  2. HLA: Hellrake

    One thing Boo didn’t figure on after his transformation is that a rodent’s teeth tend to keep growing throughout their life. It is only with constant gnawing that one’s teeth is kept in shape…and Boo found that armor and bone is a good substitute. Given his low center of gravity and unnatural speed, Boo finds he can take an opponent out of a fight almost as quickly as it begins just by savaging their unmentionables.

  3. A warrior is certain to pick up a few tricks in their travels, and Boo was no different, though some might say his...mentors...come from less than wholesome sources.

     

    HLA: Eye Gouge

    Said to have originated by a wise sage simply called the The Third Stooge, this maneuver can bring the mightiest foe down. The legend is that the eyes are the mirror of the soul, and by taking their orbs, one can consume the spirit of their foe and partake of their power. Whatever the truth, this ability is highly effective for Boo.

  4. Like the dynamic duo, Minsc just wouldn't be Minsc without his sidekick Boo. However, Boo has always been hampered by being Minsc's silent partner...until now.

    Upon the flight from Irenicus' dungeon, Imoen confronted the foul mage with little effect. However, the haphazard flight of her spells happened to land on an innocent bystander in the whole fray...Boo. As a result, the doughty hamster is stuck in a form neither human nor hamster, but an unwholesome amalgam of both.

  5. *gathers some sticks and bark and builds a fire under Bri* I'd lend you my muse but she flew the coop years ago.

    I know...what can I say...after dad's death, I was out of sorts for a while...then I decided to keep up with school work...which may not have been a wise move in the short run, but I needed to keep busy.

     

    It definitely doesn't help that while I consider myself doing better, sometimes I get hit with...emotions...at odd times. *shrugs* Like when they finally got his tombstone put up (because they needed to get more stone in...) or such as when I gathered up the last of dad's stuff during break to give away to Goodwill (clothes mainly), sell, or put in the trash.

     

    I haven't given up on the project by any means...and though I got a couple of other things I would like to work on, I haven't advanced any of them either.

  6. Any updates? It's been a few weeks since the last one.

    I can't speak for Cam. I believe he is still working on Cleric Remix and the and general Fixpack.

     

    As for me...well, I didn't get anything done over my Spring Break...my mind just shut down. The same old stuff still needs worked on, I know. No one's fault but mine.

  7. I'm supposed to be pretty busy myself right now (I've got 4 projects running for school), but if I can help out in any way (except for the voicing, I guess; I don't think my voice is quite what you're looking for), just whistle.

    Thanks for the offer, but at the moment, the writing is something I just need to buckle down and do.

    Yeah, I really didn't keep to my word much, I know. I apologize for that. Earlier this week, my father's headstone was put in (there was some problems due to the funeral home not having the stone in stock, and having to order it...and getting it a few weeks later).

     

    Either way, upon seeing it...well, let's just that I didn't react to well to it. Hence, the reason for the latest delay.

     

    If nothing else, I have next week off for Spring Break, and will show progerss on one of the last three big things for SoA. (Del and class lovetalks will probably be ToB, but they may get written for SoA).

     

    Yes, that still means to find music and a voice as well...not to mention editing on other things.

    Been a while since my last update. Anyways, I think we have what I picture Delainy and Durlyle most in my mind. However, we also will include the other good pictures offered as well so that the player can have their choice.

     

    I got a little busy this weekend, but I also hope to wrap up touches for the Delainy/Barbarian lovetalk. I hope to do class-specific ones...although those may wait until Throne of Bhaal.

     

    That still leaves other things to do:

    1. Flirts

    2. Romance conflicts with the BioWare 3

    3. Restaurant aside

     

    Finally, that also leaves last round editing and finding theme music for Delainy.

  10. Don't know if playtesting is still going on, or what build we're on if it is, but I'm always happy to help. Otherwise, I'll wait the for the complete package.

    Well, it is kind of going on, but there hasn't been any work put into it in a while. So, there is no reason you couldn't playtest, but until we get in gear, there isn't more content to view.

    I know this is becoming to sound a lot like a broken record, but I won't be getting anything new done...and may not for a while. There...has been a death in my family...and well...I am taking some time off from the module.

  12. Eh, just wanted to say I'm really looking forward to this release. I remember being *pissed* in Tales of the Sword Coast when Delainy wouldn't come with me. When I saw this mod, I was absolutely overjoyed. I'd be happy to help with playtesting or anything else.

     

    All the writing I have seen posted for this mod is top-notch!

    Well, we are hoping to get to the point and wrap up the last few things (writing, editing, etc.) before the final bits such as voicing. I know that I fell behind in my own writing goals...I had really wanted to finish it in less than a year from a written standpoint.

    Long time no post, though I hope to change that. As it stands, there is not much material left (as mentioned elsewhere).

     

    I still have to finish Flirts, the restaurant aside, and Romance conflicts with the BioWare 3.

     

    Additionally, theme music needs to be decided on for Del. Spoken dialogue will be near the end since we want to make sure the written material is in the shape we wish it to be.

     

    The good news is that I now have 5 weeks off before school starts to in the Spring, and after recuperating from finals this weekend, I will attempt to finish the writing this break.

I will be honest, I was hoping to get a major portion written this week (I had off from school), but between attending to family matters, Thanksgiving, getting some upgrades for my computer, and lack of Internet connection due to fallen phone lines (snowed, don't you know)...my progress has been a bit lacking. Worse comes to worse, I have 2 more weeks of regular class, then half a week of finals...then four glorious weeks off, and will try to finish the writing then.

  15. There will be new content in the next build, but we don't know when the next build will be done. Sadly, this time of year does also take its toll on time...and don't be afraid to post it in the testing section either with the question.

     

    Most likely voicing will be done after the coding and writing is finished for Delainy.

  16. Truthfully, there really isn't a lot left to write...I mean, the last big thing I wrote was 3 months ago.

     

    Besides the restaurant and flirts, the only other bit to really need writing is the conflicts with the BioWare three.

     

    We are waiting on music and voice to make sure what we have done is what we want.

    Well, I know this is starting to sound a little similar, but I didn't get anything really accomplished. Between misplacing my CD with the old material, and dad having to back into the hospital (he was just released today), I haven't focused my attention as I should.

     

    Heh, guess it was overly ambitious of to want to finish the writing in less than a year...what is galling is there really isn't much SoA material to finish.

    By the way, has a voice actress been chosen yet? Or...have you started looking for one?

    No, we aren't searching for voices quite yet. It makes more sense to make sure most of the coding is bug-free, and the writing is the way we want it. This way, the artist doesn't get burdened with a million requests each time we make a change :cry:

    Some real progress on my end. Got material written for the main plot with Delainy (roughly 40% done), though it won't require her in your party if you wish to pursue it. Also got some considerations for those who wish to do an 'evil' path bit with it. I hope it makes sense as evil, and not the general AD&D 2nd Edition mindset of "Ah evil...that means we slay everyone and let the gods sort them out."
