Erk. You've got the Subrace mod after the fixpack. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a problem, but the Subrace mod is an older mod, and overwrites the changes introduced by the fixpack. When I use it, I put it first.

So what do you think it would mess up?

I didn't think it would do anything seeing as it affects such a small part of the game (Subraces of some npcs and throws in a guy who would let you change subraces).

If you're using a tweak that will make Jaheira neutral good, for example, or that corrects somebody or other's proficiencies, the subrace mod will overwrite the changes. That's about it. If you can live with that, then there are no problems that I can see.

Fortunately, you installed Subraces before SCSII, so your scripts won't be messed up... er... wait a minute. I just thoughtof something. Scripts. Like the area script for AR0602, Chateau Irenicus. Subraces will have done an overwrite on that one, too. I'll have to make sure that the fixpack doesn't make any changes to it.

After extensive searching, I see that there are changes made to Chateau Irenicus that will be overwritten by Subraces, but I don't think any of these will prove to be too much of an inconvenience.

 

You won't be able to make some transitions to other areas until the whole party is assembled, but you won't get the "You must gather your party..." warning, either. You probably won't even notice that.

 

The trapped picture in the room where you get Jaheira's key will not be able to be disarmed, and some items in containers will be identified that really should not be.

 

One container will make the wrong kind of noise when it is opened. Man, I simply can't believe how much attention CamDawg paid to detail when he made this thing.

 

And that looks like about it.

 

You should be fine.

I have downloaded the "reign of terror" mod too but not installed it. Does that one work with all these I already have installed or does it make it a new game?

 

Improved Anvil is too tough, I fear. I have enough difficulties winning the key battles on "normal" so probably I shouldn't install that one?

 

Finally, I wish to thank all of you who are doing this :) After finishing BG2 for the third time, I thought it was a game I wouldn't be playing again but then I realised you guys were keeping it alive and making new content and now I can't wait to get started. My first mod experience was the IWD2 NPC's and the replay-value was high! Thanks again, please keep up your superb work !!! :D:):)

Well, you could have made a new topic for this, but as it stands he, I'll comment.

I am about to start a new game now (first time with mods) and I would be oh so grateful if one of you could please take time to look through my WeiDU log to see if I have installed conflicting mods, and please advise me other mods I should add to these.

Make the quest mods to be installed one after another, see the Big World Project(the .pdf files)

You'll get those because you the WeiDU.exe tries to auto update itself but because of bad code inside the mod, it can't, to get away from the loop, you need to exit the DOS installer(the black box) and copy paste the latest version WeiDU.exe to the game directory and rename it as the setup-*modname*.exe, this is what the auto installer would do if it could.

IA is not compatible with any of those mods... says the mods on designer, so believe him.

 

Byt the way, you should have installed this mod near the end: ~SETUP-GUI.TP2~ as it gives more, when installed near the end, as you get to choose more than one mod...

The loop problem is actually easy to fix. There's some instructions on how to do it, but I don't have the link. Hopefully someone will post them.

 

SoS adjusts The Adventurer's Mart business hours. You can only enter it from, IIRC, 9am to just before actual nightfall.

Hi again

 

I was in the Umar Cave looking for a mimic's blood, and I examined the pool of water - it said I could swim through it if I wanted to, and a "travel symbol" appeared. Of course I wanted to, but I had to exit the game and when I loaded it again the symbol was gone. Only the "?" is there but it doesn't even have a text any more when I examine it.

 

So, how can I solve this problem? I believe it has something to do with the Check the Bodies mod. Any advice is most welcome! (I tried to google it but the thread I found is so full of spoilers I'd rather not read it... )

Save the game and use the Shadowkeeper to search and then set the Global Variable back to 0 with the CLUAConsole. I say to use the Shadowkeeper, cause you can see all their names with it, by scrolling to the left from the top left arrow to the last panel and clicking it.
