Imoen's Adventurer kit doesn't make sense

Imoen adventurer kit trades in backstab modifier for +20 to detect trap and open lock... except her starting values for those 2 things in BG2 are 95 and 100 respectively. And from what I have been reading online, that is high enough for everything you would ever encounter in the game.

 

I would suggest that when this option is enabled, that you redistribute 20 points away from open lock and 15 from detect trap. Getting both of these to 100 exactly and putting the spare points somewhere useful

I agree--IF you're starting a BG2 or ToB game.

 

If you're starting a mega-install, then those extra points for her in BG1 are a nice bonus.

And depending on what ruleset you use, there are ones that make the leather armors reduce all the thieving skills ... meaning that you get screwed by the tweak meant for "heavy armors".
