IWD in BG2 Dont want to start

hi, i downloaded the V8 of IWD in BG2, after all the installing when i want to run BGmain.exe i get this

 

 

Do you have a solution pls ?

First remove the "temp", "tempsave" and "cache" -folders, and try to see it it starts... it that doesn't happen then open the baldur.ini in the game folder with Notepad and copy paste the text to a message.

It didnt worked with just removing the "temp", "tempsave" and "cache" -folders.

 

 

I have 2 Balur.ini, one in the "icewind_tutu" -folder, and one in the original "Baldur Gate II" -folder. wich one are you talking about ?

And when you say copy paste the text to a message, what do you mean ?

At a guess, something is broken in your BG2 install.

The file needs to be "Baldur.ini", not "balur.ini", and I mean the icewind_tutu folder as that's your "IwD in BG2" -game folder.

I mean that when you open up the file with Notepad, it opens up as a text file, you copy paste the whole content of the file to the post.

 

To copy paste the text, when the text file is opened, you just push the "Ctrl" and "A" buttons simultaneously, then you push the "Ctrl" and "C" buttons simultaneously, and then you open the internet browser to this page and push the "Ctrl" and "V" buttons simultaneously ... and then push the reply.

The file is named Baldur.ini, i made a mistake on the message.

The primary game is installed to the Program Files sub-folder... I assume you have a Windows XP, vista, 7 or 8 computer... installing the game there is a big mistake.

I remove the primary game from Program File and i install it in another place ? Then i retry ?

Now i install Icewind Dale at the same adress, and i'll try again.

I need to re-install the hole mod again to make them into consideration ? Because i installed them to the main Icewind Dale (after installing "IWD in BG 2" and "icewind tutu tweaks")

Don't use this. It's for IWD. Use BG2 Tweaks instead since this project is a mod for BG2. The others are safe, having been made compatible with this conversion.

i already installed it, it work correctly for now. Now i understand that the mod change Icewind Dale to becom a new Baldurs Gate 2. Thanks.

 

I am eager to see if i can install all the mod that change the gameplay of Baldur Gate 2.
