Bill Bisco
I notice that the Yasarena mod has the following line of code ACTION_IF GAME_IS ~bg2ee~ BEGIN COPY ~Yasraena/PortraitsEE~ ~override~ END ELSE BEGIN COPY ~Yasraena/Portraits~ ~override~ END What is the difference between the regular BG2 and the EE portraits? Thanks, Bill Link to comment
jastey
http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=26671Look for the paragraph "Portraits": Given that EE is written for a larger screen by default, the small and medium size portraits have been bumped up. The epilogue portrait remains 210x330, but the medium portrait is now 169x266 (from 110x170 in BG/BG2) and the small 54x84 (from 38x60 in BG/BG2). Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
Or you could just look at the files. Link to comment
AstroBryGuy
FYI, the v2 EE games use the Medium portraits for the "small" size in the CRE (0x0034) and the Large portraits for the "large" size (0x003c). Older versions use small and medium, respectively. Link to comment
jastey
Oh, thank you for the info, AstroBryGuy. (I hope the tutorial(s) gets updated with all the relevant data for v2.x, soon..) Actually, I read somewhere that for the EE games the large portrait could be used for all sizes, because it is scaled down (and that this would be advantageous to prevent pixelation). I haven't tried this, though. Link to comment
AstroBryGuy
Yes, that's true. https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/7461/heres-how-to-use-custom-portraits/p1 The recommended minimum size for the small portrait is 169x266 on the EE games, but if you just want to set both to the "L" image, that works too.
