xiaoleiwen Posted December 1, 2021 Author Posted December 1, 2021 Still can't decide on whether I should install something midgame and continue the adventure in SOD. As the third playthrough in these 2 years, I feel like need to add more things to have to motivation to play SOD. Unfortunately I didn't use any bg1 npc mod with sod content in current playthrough (such as aura, sirene) and I can't remember any standalone npc mod for sod. It also seems like no quest mod for sod at the moment. The reason I'm considering this is probably because I'm gonna play Lava's Skie mod in bg2, so probably may feel weird if my charname never experience the story in sod..(rp reason) Now I see why some will install mod that they may not use in current playthrough, its good to have alternative in the game if you change your mind midgame. xiaoleiwen Posted December 5, 2021 Author Posted December 5, 2021 (edited) Started BG2 and the Anomen repeated dialogues and turned hostile (because Sir Beverus turned hostile) issues at Windspear hill still happened. Anyway, reloading the quicksave that I made immediately after the battle seems avoided the issues- Anomen spoke once only, and nobody turns hostile before being teleported to the cabin. Probably is random, or just depends on how fast the teleport happens. There is definitely a incompatibility that caused this but it is not a problem now since I can avoid it (if Sir Beverus will not appear later). Edited December 5, 2021 by marcnivar Quote
xiaoleiwen Posted December 5, 2021 Author Posted December 5, 2021 (edited) @jastey Some questions for Ajantis BG2: 1) My reputation is 8 now because of the evil npc who joined the party. Will there be any problem if I choose the betrothed path and the reputation is too low (temporarily) when he joins? I remember his romance is affected by reputation in bg1. If there is problem, probably I should gain some reputation points first before getting him back. 2) Can I remove him from the group occasionally (when doing mod quest without crossmod) without affecting the love talks? I remember some romance will stop if you kick them out from the party (like Jaheira or certain mod npc). Edited December 5, 2021 by marcnivar Quote
jastey Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 2. no the romance does not break if Ajantis has to wait somewhere. 1. Ajantis is much more tolerant regarding reputation for the engaged path (he knows his betrothed and believes it to be temporarily if it's low). He will complain, though. Have a look into the documentation/ajantis_reactions.txt to see when the romance will break, it's less rep only but n case the PC makes too many bad decisions that will make Ajantis leave. Quote
xiaoleiwen Posted December 5, 2021 Author Posted December 5, 2021 (edited) Spoiler Ajantis thinks it's a bad decision, if -if PC gave bad advice to Anomen after his sister's death @jastey Just to comfirm, my understanding is, if Anomen fails his quest, Anomen will comment he won't leave? Asking this because Anomen has to fail his quest to trigger romance with Clara in another MOD. --- Spoiler Ajantis' new beginnings romance will end, if -Ajantis warns PC after 4 bad decisions -Ajantis leaves the group because of wrong PC decision Does this apply to engaged path? Edited December 5, 2021 by marcnivar Quote
jastey Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Bad decision means a counter counts down. If the counter is too high / low, Ajantis will draw a line. He will also warn before doing that. As long as your PC didn't plan on doing too many decisions Ajantis deems as "bad", he will stay. I know I made him much more tolerant if in an engaged path. I don't remember how tolerant, though. I'm sure Ajantis will complain a lot of he's uncontent. Hmm, looking at the list it seems the bad decisions are mostly important for the new beginnings romance (ends after 4) and probably for Ajantis' reactions in the dialogues, but not for the engaged path and also not for a sudden leaving of Ajantis. xiaoleiwen Posted December 5, 2021 Author Posted December 5, 2021 Thanks for explaining, looking forward to his content in BG2 Quote
jastey Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 @marcnivar I released a new version of the Stutter Debug Tool: https://github.com/SpellholdStudios/Stutter_Debug_Tool/releases This should be more tolerant with regard to cutscenes and scripted events etc. If you still have a save before the Windspear Hill Anomen /Sir Beverus going hostile bug you could try whether this gives more clues as to what is causing this, I would be grateful. Quote
xiaoleiwen Posted December 6, 2021 Author Posted December 6, 2021 I don't have a save close to there at the moment but I can test it later. Anyway, I think Ajantis gave me something sound like final warning...probably because he warned me too many times on bad reputation. Started to regret to install a mod to slow down the reputation gained Quote

Is there any console to look for the stage of the bad decision counter? I feel like I have triggered something looks like final warning, but I still haven't do Anomen's quest. It is the only bad decision I will make, but I saw the reaction documentation mentioned he will turn hostile if pc makes more than 5 bad decision, and if rep falls below 10. He warned PC repeatedly for low rep as I took quite long to make it from 8 to 10. Quote
jastey Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 I have a small mod that cheats up rep if you are desperate... The variable Ajantis counts the "bad" decisions with is "Global("C#AjantisWarUnzufrieden","GLOBAL")". Set it to something below zero so there's still some room for it to be incremented without problems, for example: C:SetGlobal("C#AjantisWarUnzufrieden","GLOBAL",-3) That's a minus in front of the "3".
