I checked all the files in search of any more errors, I believe that now they are all ok.

@Ecthelion Very good, as for setup.tra: it has to use Portugal cp1252 characters, not Unicode ones so I adjust it accordingly.

Eh.

Infinity engine mods might be the last place I'm aware of stil using non-utf8 encodings.

(except the whole "legacy" projects I recently interfaced with at work that used... other, more exotic encodings)

I tried a fresh install and fresh copy of the latest version of ascension.

Never mind, the issue was my anti virus
