Angel wings

The wings are actually an equipped-item animation (a helmet, specifically). Equipped items have to have different animations for each creature type (human/halforc, elf/halfelf, dwarf, gnome/halfling, iirc) because where the equipped item has to appear depends on the creature type. The mod only includes animations for elves. Adapting it to dwarves would require you to make an entirely new set of animations.

(If you used the elf wing animations on a dwarf, for instance, the wings would appear in mid air, because dwarves are shorter than elves.)

There are 4 sizes:

  • L: Human (Male), Halforc (Male)
  • N: Human (Female), Halforc (Female)
  • M: Elf/Halfelf (same animation)
  • S: Dwarf, Gnome, Halfling

It's not just about height though.

Elves have the skinniest body, which the wing animation accounts for, leaving gaps to avoid overlapping it.

The other animations also have various subtle differences, for example, the human male "head turn" proceeds in a different manner than elves, resulting in the wings turning to the left while the body turns to the right.
