Language Mod?

I bought French disk versions of Bladur's Gate 1+2 and Icewind Dale. Are there ways (mods) to change the language to English? My French is OK, I could play in French and improve it by playing the game, but I'm also lazy.

discs? you mean original games not ee's? no way to change the language.

Well, no way to completely change the language ( e.g. voiced lines). But if you just want to change the written strings, just get a copy of the English dialog.tlk file and drop it into your main game folder. ( I’d upload one but I’m not at my desk right now).

ToB = Throne of Bhaal. You need to rename the American-ToB-dialog.tlk file to dialog.tlk.

1. Make a backup of your dialog.tlk and dialogF.tlk (this one is for female PCs in some languages, like French, German, Spanish...) and save them outside your game folder.
2. Delete the dialogF.tlk file (useless for English games).
3. Overwrite your game dialog.tlk with the new one.

@Gwendolyne So, this ToB.tlk file, on what games does it work? All Infinity Engine games?

ToB = Baldur’s Gate II: Throne of Bhaal. (It will probably work on BG2 without Throne of Bhaal too.)
