  1. Spellhold Studios The Trovador REO mod (from Riojano2002) has been updated and is now available with macOS and Linux support. Version 2.5.0 is ToB, BGT, BG2:EE and EET compatible (thanks Austin and Gwendolyne), and comes with a few bug fixes. Volo is not the only one who knows stories worth telling. There are many troubadours and bards who travel all over Faerûn risking their lives in order to brighten up the taverns we visit. This mod adds a very special troubadour, who, for a few gold pieces, will tell you unheard stories and even the origins of certain characters, such as the mysterious Riojano, or Artemis Entreri.You can find him in Waukeen Promenade. It also adds a shop with curious objects.   3. Spellhold Studios The Kiara-Zaiya NPCs mods (from Alan M.C., Seifer and Jesara) has been updated and is now available with macOS and Linux support. Version 2.0.0 is ToB, BGT, BG2:EE and EET compatible (thanks Austin and Gwendolyne), comes with a full Russian translation (Arcanecoast Team) and includes many fixes. This mod introduces two joinable NPCs, Zaiya and Kiara, to your game. Zaiya is a Chaotic Good half-elven wild mage, and Kiara is a Neutral Evil human monk. Zaiya can be found inside the slaver ship (Slums District) and will join your party only if your character is of either good or neutral alignment. This is essential to the game!!! You can't start evil!! Don't cheat, bugs will lurk around if you do! Kiara will join the party after you resolve some specific quests AND ZAIYA IS STILL IN YOUR PARTY - AND ALIVE -. ADULT CONTENT: Note that this mod contains some love scenes between the main character and Kiara, and some <em>sex jokes</em>. I would categorize none of these as adult material, though it may hurt the sensibility of some of you. If you object to it, DO NOT PLAY THE MOD.   4. Spellhold Studios Beyond the Law (from Zyraen) has been updated and is now available with macOS and Linux support. This mod introduces two joinable NPCs, Kova and Kiyone, to your game: Kova is a Chaotic Good Half-Elf mage/thief with an unsavory background and good heart (or so he claims). Kiyone is a Lawful Good Half-Elf female, law-enforcing, impartial (or so she claims) archer. They will only show up if: Your character is of either good or neutral alignment. Your character's reputation rises above 12, and you are still in Chapter 2. This mod looks into proving one man's innocence against the odds, and highlights the unlikely yet strong bond formed between the two people, so different yet so much alike. BTL also examines many of our concepts of good & evil, right & wrong, justice & forgiveness, courage & despair, means & ends, and most importantly, perhaps, what it means to really live, and to find a purpose in that, amidst this journey of self-discovery between these two NPCs.   5. Spellhold Studios The Arnel's Nalia Romance Revision mod (from Arnel) has been updated and is now available with macOS and Linux support. This mod adds a complete romance with Nalia, including the tree of life dialogs, beloved one in danger, Nalia's abduction by Bodhi, and other love related quests. It also adds some new quests and character interactions. Having Minsc in the party is recommended... Version 2.0.0 is BG2, ToB, BGT, BG2:EE and EET compatible (thanks tipun, Austin, and Gwendolyne), provides updated Russian translation, and comes with many bug fixes.   6. ToB = Throne of Bhaal. You need to rename the American-ToB-dialog.tlk file to dialog.tlk. Make a backup of your dialog.tlk and dialogF.tlk (this one is for female PCs in some languages, like French, German, Spanish...) and save them outside your game folder. Delete the dialogF.tlk file (useless for English games). Overwrite your game dialog.tlk with the new one.

  8. @maurviradding the Extended Night flag and a ARnnnN tis is not enough. You must also create a ARnnnnN.wed file which points to your ARnnnN.tis file. Just clone your regular wed file to ARnnnnN and that should do the trick.

  11. When 1pp was updated to v4.0.0, the question raised to provide a full IR compatibility. Unfortunately, it was abandoned mainly for 3 reasons: IR uses an older version of 1pp the existence of several versions of IR. IR is still officially a "beta" mod. However, when I discovered @Bartimaeus had released many fixes that I have coded for 1PP, we compared his list and mine, and after a few exchanges, I decided to include some I did not notice. The only ones I refused to include were cosmetic ones that did not respect what the author intended to do (even if I agreed with Bartimaeus and still don't like some Erephine's creative bias). IMO, any mod that needs to use another mod content should require the former mod to be installed first and check for its installation. Crossmods are a good example of this practice. It is nonsense to ask modders or maintainers to make their mods compatible with a mod being installed after. That said, all items content mods I have updated at SHS are patching items in two ways: one for the vanilla original games, another for EE or 1PP modded games. And as I know some players don't respect the installation order, I even added pieces of codes in 1PP to patch a few mods items that would be installed prior to 1PP. And believe me, that was painful. The same issue will arise with Infinity Animations. Fortunately, most mega mods that need it were released at SHS and will be updated at the same.

  14. We had the same issue with a few vanilla strrefs when writing the BG2 French correct pack. The best way to solve it is to rewrite the sentence in an "impersonal" way that will fit to any character, regardless of its gender, race, or "vous/tu".

  16. This has been fixed for the next IA release. However, the code worked fine with patch 2.5. I did not test it yet with new patch 2.6. I am currently checking all bam and sound clips files to be sure the core component won't install or patch files that might be added or fixed by the new patch. However, if you discover new glitches with creature weapons overlay, fell free to notice them in the repo.
  17. Updating French translation, I noticed "@" characters have been replaced with %atsymbol% variables, which is not the case in en_us folder. Moreover, the classes strref replacements won't be efficient because they are not the same in BG2 vanilla, BG2 patched with the French correct Pack mod, BG2:EE prior patch 2.6, and the so-called "professional" French localization provided by patch 2.6.0 which is nothing else but "foutage de gueule" (I let you translate this); so much that a translators pool is currently working on a correct pack that will affect almost all dialog.tlk entries...
  18. Many years ago, I faced the same issue on classic games with missiles and projectiles ids files. As @argent77suggested, a CLEAR_IDS_MAP did the trick.
  19. Spellhold Studios Valygar Friendship has been updated to v1.5. One of the things many find sorely lacking in the Bioware NPCs are the more complex relationships presented by modern NPC mods--especially in regards to "friendships", the relationships NPCs have with the PC when not romancing them. This mod adds a series of dialogues with Valygar. Version 1.5 comes with a Spanish translation by Magis365 and minor improvements.   22. @CahirI don't have time for this. Maintaining mods at SHS eats all my time, and I have not been able to write a single line of code for myself for almost two years. But, in my mind, this mod is like Isra NPC. Both deserve to be merged into one single mod that would install content according to the game you are playing. However, it needs a lot of work, much more than a simple update. Anyway, I will spend the next couple of weeks finalizing Infinity Animation update, then converting the first chapters of my own mod to EE games.
  23. Maybe it has something to do with the French localization, which mixed "Château d'Irenicus" (Castle) and "Donjon d'Irenicus" (Dungeon) in dialog.tlk strrefs. The French correct pack for BG2 harmonized all references to "Donjon d'Irenicus" because, as already said above, this place has nothing to do with what French people consider to be a castle. Maybe the first people who used it were playing the French version (from Europe or Canada) before the correct pack release...
