BigRob
Unfortunately, Aklon didn't have the build to train with the sumo boys. Link to comment
BevH
Ah well...no hundred hand slap to Anomen's face... Hey, now. I may just have to cast Protection From Evil on him. Link to comment
BigRob
Heheh. The Hundred-Hand-Slap would just for that bit when Aerie gets a little over enthusiastic trying to comfort Anomen and Anomen gets a tad overwrought when Aerie doesn't take the hint. You are supposed to slap hysterical people, no? Link to comment
BevH
Well, then, slap Aerie not Anomen for heaven's sake! Link to comment
Bri
Hmm...neither Anomen nor Aerie...we need a scapegoat... *eyes Edwin* He has the beard...and put a couple of curved horns on his robe... Link to comment
BigRob
*Aklon rolls up his sleeves* Aklon: A leaping kick, or a strike to the vitals? Link to comment
Devin23
Heyo rob, i have a cool suggestion for Aklon's martial art move. It's called the Bane of the Three Senses. If Aklon successfully stikes an opponent, he or she or it will be silenced, blinded, and deafed without any saving throw and the effect occurs 100% of the time if hit. Whether it's too strong or not, maybe higher level to obtain it will balance it. What do you think? Link to comment
BigRob
Sounds interesting, a sort of specialised nerve strike or series of hits to appropriate areas. But definately more in line for a high level ability, I think, since blinding, deafening and silencing are a pretty serious bunch of consequences. at least -4 to hit due to blindness, and probably higher with deafness added, no casting spells, except with vocalise and possibly confusion effects. Might allow a save to reduce consequences, just to keep it from being too nasty. Link to comment
Devin23
Hehe, glad you like it. Yeah, perhaps a save throw to reduce consquence is a wise choice, but the both the name and the actual effect of this martial art move should strike fear into warriors and mages alike! Link to comment
Pekka
Great, monks in BG2 really should have their own special attacks! I know they are awesome fighters even without them, but still. Hey, maybe you could add some extra moves to all the monks in the game, not just Aklon? Or would it mean too much extra work? I really don't know anything about modding, so just being curious. Anyway, I'd appreciate it. Link to comment
BigRob
I don't suppose it would be too hard to add the abilities to all monks in the game. I could make it an optional component as well. The idea of these abilities was to add some flavour to Aklon (and maybe all monks). I'm trying to make most of these moves to be interesting abilities, but no more powerful than just slugging away with fists as normal. Monks are probably bad-ass enough as is. Link to comment

Stone Wolf
Kick to the knee. If you take out someone's knee, they're helpless. They can't kick with the damaged leg or stand on it to kick with the other. They also can't punch or do any other attack with any force with one leg. That or a strike to the throat, though there's a good chance of killing with that one. Link to comment
BigRob
If Aklon punches someone in the throat, I don't think he'd be trying not to kill. Link to comment
Stone Wolf
True, but I was thinking about the real world when I typed that. There aren't many situations when lethal force is legally justified, and if you've studied martial arts it actually gets harder to justify using lethal force. It doesn't make sense, but that's how it seems to go. Fortunately, it's never come up for me personally. Link to comment
