  1. BWP install edited indivdual.bat so may have done something daft, was following pdf as editing (butchering) it though so not sure Previous BWP install using same mod selection installed fine though, again using edited individual.bat file, but much less edited get this error; [./override/MXSPLBRD.2da] loaded, 2409 bytes ERROR: cannot convert spell_level_to_caster_level_bard_8 or %spell_level_to_caster_level_bard_8% to an integer Stopping installation because of error. I cant find the error for smarter clerics but im pretty sure it was exactly the same. Everything else went ok, game runs fine, just wondering if anyone has any ideas what stupid thing I've done this time. Thanks (I tried uploading weidu log but can only upload 0.02MB and file is 65KB. I can copy and paste it if needed, i know it is usually asked for. Also why cant i upload more than 0.02MB?)
  2. No they aren't. They appear to have the same file size but one is beta 5 and one is beta 4.
  3. Which file should i be using? \iwdification\setup-iwdification (date modified 05/09/2018 size 242kb) or \stratagems\test\setup-iwdification (date modified 23/01/2019 size 242kb) Im inclined to use the newer one but as its in a folder called test i thought id check. Thanks
  4. @Morywen thats what i've been doing wrong. I knew id read somewhere that you can run it independantly from BWP install. I did, on the actually download page, http://www.shsforums.net/files/file/521-big-world-fixpack/ I've got my extracted mods in a seperate folder than BGII, hence why it isnt running. Thanks for pointing that out. Ill give it another go. Thought i was doing something dumb. Yeah, i ignored the warnings about tp2 files the first few times too, impatience making things take twice as long.
  5. Im trying to do a pretty huge compilation, though not using the big older mods (SOS, TDD, CtB etc) for BGII as already had issues with that. Mostly Dsotsc and Ntotsc and SoBH plus smaller quest mods and loads of tweaks and fixes, that according to the BWP pdf should all work together. I've used BWP before, a long long time ago and used to use BWS. PI has worked but for i hadnt quite got my mod selection right and then had few other issues with the install. Most of those went away after using ToBex 0025b rather than 0026. I like PI cos its easy to pick which bits you want to use and now i've figured out what out what i was doing wrong with sorting order its fairly straightforward to use. Install order was based on same as BWS but recently saw BWP 18.2 released so made a new install order based on that. Spent ages going through the pdf. Pretty sure order is right (so overconfidently sure i posted it in the install order thread and then it failed miserably). Might have ballsed up the extraction of couple of mods or used wrong version, currently going through the list and rechecking everything. Again. @Morywen how did you run the BWP Fixpack? Did you have to edit the batch file? If so, what did you change? I just deleted the bit i think checks for BWP Install. It patches so files but im not sure if its patch everything it can. Some suggestions from @Al|en next time he's about would be good. But i'll keep experimenting til something works until then. Thanks
  6. Hello. Not sure if this is the best place to ask, if it isnt feel free to move it to the relevant place (hopefully not the bin). Apologies if this is a bit rambling and barely coherent. Im trying to use PI to install a BWP based megamod. The last couple of attempts have failed but during the install i found few issues, that i think, having given them a good google, could be fixed with BWFixpack. But i cant seem to get it to work - fix the relevant mods. So i've been testing a few ideas and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on whether these might work, before i give another install a go. Trying to run the ficpack by itself fails as it wants BWInstall. So i edited (deleted) the first bit of the .bat, removing the check for BWInstall and ran it again. Some mods were patched but im not convinced this patched everything it should have, I might be wrong though but the install still failed but that could also be other things. So back to more dicking about with stuff to see what happens. I extracted Big World Fixpack 18.2 into a folder by itself and pointed PI to look there for extracted mods. This then lists all the fixes with .tp2 files So i could potentially include them in the install sequence. Would these need to be the first things done or could I put them individaully just before the relevant mods? What about the other fixes that dont have .tp2 files? BWFixpack doesnt have its own entry in PI, im assuming because it doesnt have a .tp2 file. Looking through an old install using BWS i found Setup-BWFixpack .exe and .tp2 So out of curiosity i copied them into the same folder id extracted BWFixpack into. And now theres and entry for BWFixpack showing "BWFixpack:0:Big World Fixpack (includes Trimpack)" Would using this in the install sequence install all the fixes and make selecting each one with a tp2 file irrelevant? Is this post too specific to Project Inifinity? Should i just stop dicking about and edit the indivual.bat from BWInstall to how i want it and install everything that way? Any advice appreciated. Thanks for reading
  7. Cant load a game either, get the exact same crash. Yes, i have got Divine Remix installed. Used following options; divine_remix:11:Only add spells if not present from other mods divine_remix:100:Cleric Remix divine_remix:103:Install Silverstar of Selune Cleric Kit divine_remix:106:Install Nightcloak of Shar Cleric Kit divine_remix:109:Install Battleguard of Tempus Cleric Kit divine_remix:115:Install Firewalker of Kossuth Cleric Kit divine_remix:127:Install Feywarden of Corellon Cleric Kit divine_remix:200:Druid Remix divine_remix:203:Install Oozemaster Druid kit divine_remix:403:Install Bowslinger Ranger Kit divine_remix:412:Install Justifier Ranger Kit divine_remix:600:Install Battleguard of Tempus Kit for Branwen Also used this, which is in BWP Fixpack, shows as an entry in PI DR8_hotfix:0:hotfix for Divine Remix v8b Ill try another install without th oozemaster kit and see what happens. Ill go back through each mod and check ive got the right version etc again too. Thanks
  8. I keep getting a ctd when starting a new game. Megamod installs with some mod components not installing. Game loads but once you click 'start new game' it crashes with the following error; ASSERTION FAILED! Return Address: 0x4FF726 File: CGameEffect.cpp Line: 1536 Same error with 2 slightly differnet mod selections. Im using ProjectInfinity to install BGT. Mod order derived from BWP 18.2 I've googled the error but only references to it seem to be happening during gameplay. I cant get that far. Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks weidu log
  9. Finally got round to testing again and now everything installed without warnings, except smarter mages but i was expecting that. ToBeX beta 0025 SCS 32.7 So ill get on with trying loads of mods again now. Thanks for the help weidu log; 26.11.2019 test install order
  10. Hello I've created an install sequence for BGT using the BWP pdf as a guide. It contains a lot of mods, not all the mods, but quite a few. I'll do a test install shortly. Couple of questions, where should the Druid Grove Makeover go? From what I've read it can pretty much go anywhere and from the install sequence i created it was between BGT and Ascension. Would that be ok? Can Tome and Blood v0.8.38 be used in BGT? It's not in the BWP guide so im not sure. If so where would a sensible place be? Would it be worth installing different parts inbetween other mods? IE Tweaks/Revisions earlier on with other tweaks and kits later or would this cause unexpected issues? Thanks Install completes but there were a load of errors, most of which would be fixed with bwfixpack. Game loads but get ctd when trying to start a new game
  11. I've got another related question as well now. BGT Graphical user Interface How, using ProjectInfinity would you select one of the options? Would something like "SETUP-GUI:4:„Baldur‘s Gate Trilogy“ (Elminster wielding sword)" work? @AL|EN can you help with this? Thanks
  12. Thanks both, that makes sense. But now i have another question. Im using Project Infinity to install a load of mods. Using BWP 18.2 guide as reference for install sequnce As BGT Music has its own entry in the bwp guide, would i need to put a line in the installation sequence? eg - bgtmusic:2:Full Baldur's Gate/Shadows of Amn/Throne of Bhaal Music Or will i just have to keep an eye on the install and make relevant selection when prompted? Thanks
  13. Hello Is 'BGT Music 1.08' still used by people? It's in the newest Big World Project (v18.2) but i cant find anywhere to download it from. (I've checked my old mods folder and looked in the mod file in BWS to see if there was a link there but it just says 'manual' (yes i know BWS isnt used/supported but thought it might have a link to download the mod)) So, basically, does it work and is it recommended? And if so does anyone have a link to where i could download it from? Thanks
  14. @AL|EN i thought you might say something like that. Ill delete my 'extracted mods' folder and start again ready for when/if get this issue sorted Already checked and downloaded newest version of mods i was planning on using. Problem is, so used to relying on bws to sort most issues now its obsolete you realise how many mods you've been using and how much work is involved keeping them up-to-date and working with each other. Will keep me out of trouble for a while i suppose
  15. Ok, i didn't think scs needed it, i thought id check if it was causing the problem though. Is bwsetup fixpack needed for any older mods? Or should I disregard it completely? Thanks
  16. Tried the same few mods with bwsetup fixpack Installed fine. Bwsetup fixpack now does very little to scs, the only modout of tobex, bg2 fixpack and scs, it has fixes for So its not that. Ill wait until i can get hold of tobex_beta0025 and try the lot again
  17. I got BWFixpack from; https://github.com/BigWorldSetup/BigWorldSetup-Fixpack/ I cant find anywhere to download TobEx_beta0025 from When i go to shsforums i get an sql error; An error occured with the SQL server: This is not a problem with the IPS Community Suite but rather with your SQL server. Please contact your host and copy the message shown above. So i had a look at https://github.com/Ascension64/TobEx/tree/master/WeiDU/TobEx/TobEx_redist and really not sure what to download from that lot So Ill retry the previous install, after running BWSetup in the folder i've extracted TobEX, BG2 fixpack and SCS in and see what happens and hopefully shs will be available again soon and i can download beta0025 if its available there. If it isnt, any suggestions on where to download from? Ill post results when install complete Thanks
  18. Hello Made a new clean install of BG2 and Tob from disk patched started BG2 and Tob Extracted ToBEx, BG2 Fixpack and SCS to new folder then installed ToBEx, BG2 Fixpack and SCS using Project Infinity All installed ok Ill try using the same again tomorrow but ill run BWFixpack first to see if thats maybe doing something funky to SCS, just a thought. Any more ideas on the cause of those components failing? I checked the mods before extracting them to check they were newest versions. ToBEx_beta0026 downloaded from Spellhold Studios BG2 Fixpack v13 and SCS v32.4 downloaded from here (gibberlings3) Bit confused about BG2 fixpack - version 13 is available here but the github version shows v11 but the files in the zip have more recent last modified dates than the files in v13 but the file sizes are the same. I used the right version, version13, right? weidu log ProjectInfinity-Weidu-Log-Finished-Installation-2019.08.07-23꞉50.log test install order
  19. I tried a little experiment, which worked and enabled Smarter mages to install. But then there were errors with other components. I used the same mods as listed above. Used Proect Infinity to run the install (version 0.7.5) Paused the install after Bonehill installed and before SCS started Used Shadowkeeper to edit bhbbob.cre - changed from fighter_mage_thief to fighter_mage (Im pretty sure this created new bhbbob.cre in override folder) restarted install Smarter Mages installed with out a problem Installation continued and i had problems with Improved fiends and celestials, Smarter dragons, Smarter Throne of Bhaal final villain and Improved Abazigal's Lair They all have the same error; Unrecognised TriggerBlock: SpellTurnNew, I've attached logs and the install sequence i used with Project Infinity. Has anyone got any idea whats going wrong? Is there an easier way of fixing the bhbbob.cre issue? Thanks weidu log stratagems 6510 error log stratagems 6540 error log stratagems 6590 error log stratagems 8180 error log PI install order
  20. Smarter mages is failing to install due to problem with .cre in secret of bonehill mod This keeps happening when trying to install loads of mods so i tried again with bare minimum mods used; BW install BW textpack TobEx BGT Bonehill v275 SCS 32.4 results in following error; I don't recognise class fighter_mage_thief Appending to files ... ERROR: cannot convert lev_max or %lev_max% to an integer ERROR: [BHBBOB.CRE] -> [override/BHBBOB.CRE] Patching Failed (COPY) (Not_found) Is there a way of getting SCS to ignore this npc as it really wont affect anything if he isnt patched by SCS (well not for me anyway) ? logs attached. Thanks stratgems 6030 error log weidu log
  21. I think i've found the main culprits The Darkest Day - adds 170+ spells Check the bodies - adds 275 spells I've never tried including these in megamod install before Ill try another install without these and see what happens
  22. Yeah checked it was there. Tried running as admin tried turning user access controls off and running it - same problem Weirdly im now getting different problem (run via cmd prompt) Enter arguments: WeiDU.exe --log nul --change-log spells.ids >change-log/change-log.txt --out change-log 'C:\BGT' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. C:\BGT all\BGII - SOA> I really have no idea whats going wrong with it now
  23. Hello Thanks for the help Tried exactly what you said, the weiDU window shows a message but closes to qucikly to read and i only end up with an empty text file So i tried again, using cmd prompt and get the following message - "The system cannot find the path specified." Am i missing something out? How does weiDU create the change log? Where does it get the information about what has changed what? Does it matter that I used Project Infinity rather than BWS? (Project Infinity creates a log file for each mod installed while BWS makes one massive text file that takes a while to open) I tried again using a with a working install built using BWS and get the same response. Any ideas? Thanks again
  24. Ok Here it is. There's quite a lot of mods. I've got a similar selection installed and working before using BWS. weidu log
  25. Im still not having any luck with change-log. I've copied it to game dir I run the application, it displays loads of commands, input/output options, then gets to a prompt saysing "Enter Arguements:" And thats where i get stuck. Said i was being dumb. Also at the top of the window it says "[C:\BGT all\BGII - SOA\WeiDU-FileChangelog.exe] WeiDU version 24500 WeiDU (version 24500: "Medieval Steel")" I know i have weiDU 24600 "[C:\BGT all\BGII - SOA\WeiDU\WeiDU.exe] WeiDU version 24600 WeiDU (version 24600: "Land of Confusion")" Is that a problem? Still no idea where im going wrong, I've tried putting alsorts at the Enter Arguements: prompt
