  1. Here you go. Thank you exported itm and sto files.7z
  2. I found a difference Bag of holding D1BG1BAG - Items for sale offset 9c h 34 h 4 h THBAG05 - Items for sale offset 130 h 34 h 4 h Most items like bags of holding, gem bags seem to have the items for sale offset as 9c h The THBAG0# items have different values, a few other bags of holding etc have it set to something other than 9c h. I have no idea if this has any relevance to anything though
  3. @Bartimaeus thanks, i'll adjust sorting order as you've suggested and see what happens. @Jarno Mikkola i think that BP script is a bit of a red herring. It only seemed to be firing on the first area i checked and the stutter happened in different areas if i had the bag of holding etc in inventory, it goes away as soon as dropping them. But i found another bag of holding, sold by Thalantyr, which didnt seem to cause any issues. Are different mods that add these items implementing them in different ways? Is that possible? I'll get the different ones in inventory then have a look in shadowkeeper see if theres much difference between them. Done that and found the following item ids stuff that seems to cause stuttering (obtained from Winthrop and Gorion's still warm corpse) bag of holding - D1BG1BAG potion case - SWBAG06 scroll case - SWBAG03B gem bag - SWBAG02 gem bag (not sure where from) - BGBAG01 I then went and bought the same types of items from Thalantyr and no stuttering, characters running around happy as Larry bag of holding - THBAG05 ammo belt - THBAG04 potion case - THBAG03 scroll case - THBAG02 gem bag - THBAG01 I then had a quick look in Near Infinity and i can find them all but i have no idea what exactly i need to be looking at/for to see why some cause the game to lag/stutter and some dont. What should i be looking for? In terms of finding out whats broken mages i guess i'll just have to do a new install and install the mods one at a time and test after each one to see whats broken it. The entire install sequence for projecdt infinity is only 17 pages long in a word document. How long can that take? Guess i'm about to find out
  4. Hello I was installing CDTweaks as part of a BGT megamod Unique containers failed to install Got the following error I've had a look in BGII - SOA\cdtweaks\bam and there are files called t-bhld##.bam but they stop at 46 Any suggestions? Thanks
  5. @Jarno Mikkola i checked the baldur.ini and it showed the following; GLSetup Driver=0 16Bit Textures=0 Resolution=1024 BitsPerPixel=32 3D Acceleration=1 In relation to the Big Picture mod, are you saying dont use it all? I have spent ages looking at the BWP pdf and i thought that as long as you dont install components that do the same thing/affect same areas you can get SCS and BP components working in the same install. Im pretty sure the BP elements i included wont interfer with SCS? Or did you mean its just buggy because of how its written? Also, I tried the file checker and got the following Corrupted files Number of hits: 16 File: KOBSHA02.CRE, Offset: 420h, Error: Spell(420h) overlaps Spell(420h) by 8 bytes File: KOBSHA02.CRE, Offset: 428h, Error: Memorization(428h) overlaps Memorization(428h) by 2 bytes File: KOBSHA02.CRE, Offset: 42ah, Error: Unknown(42ah) overlaps Unknown(42ah) by 2 bytes File: KOBSHA02.CRE, Offset: 42ch, Error: Spell(42ch) overlaps Spell(42ch) by 8 bytes File: KOBSHA02.CRE, Offset: 42ch, Error: Spell(42ch) overlaps Spell(42ch) by 8 bytes File: KOBSHA02.CRE, Offset: 434h, Error: Memorization(434h) overlaps Memorization(434h) by 2 bytes File: KOBSHA02.CRE, Offset: 434h, Error: Memorization(434h) overlaps Memorization(434h) by 2 bytes File: KOBSHA02.CRE, Offset: 436h, Error: Unknown(436h) overlaps Unknown(436h) by 2 bytes File: KOBSHA02.CRE, Offset: 436h, Error: Unknown(436h) overlaps Unknown(436h) by 2 bytes File: KOBSHA02.CRE, Offset: 436h, Error: 36 unused bytes between Unknown(436h) and Signature(45ch) File: KOBWIT02.CRE, Offset: 4b0h, Error: Spell(4b0h) overlaps Spell(4b0h) by 8 bytes File: KOBWIT02.CRE, Offset: 4b8h, Error: Memorization(4b8h) overlaps Memorization(4b8h) by 2 bytes File: KOBWIT02.CRE, Offset: 4bah, Error: Unknown(4bah) overlaps Unknown(4bah) by 2 bytes File: KOBWIT02.CRE, Offset: 4c6h, Error: 12 unused bytes between Unknown(4c6h) and Signature(4d4h) File: TS0020.ARE, Offset: 458h, Error: 16 unused bytes between Flags(458h) and X(46ch) File: YS1001N.WED, Offset: e408h, Error: 12 unused bytes between Tilemap index 5(e408h) and Polygon index(e416h) Thats mostly affecting Kobold shamans (shamen?) There were a few files it said it couldnt check. I had a play around with the other check options. Some seemed to just crashed the program Script check showed; Warnings in scripts Number of hits: 12698 Is that really bad? Seems like a lot. And still no closer to working out whats buggered mages up. And more ideas?
  6. @Bartimaeus thanks for the tips on install order. And for answering my question about SRR the other day. I dont know how i missed the bit in the readme about HLA's. I have read it, honest. Cant see for looking. I based the install order on the BWP pdf which installs Spell revisions, item revisions and 1PP in two or three seperate bits. The sorting order i used has them in this order ; 1pp 101 102 103 114 200 400 401 item_rev 0 spell_rev 0 20 30 55 then, many hours later 1pp 104 105 106 107 108 109 110 111 112 113 201 210 300 301 item_rev 1030 2 3 10 17 11 12 1090 1091 1092 1093 15 16 1pp 202 spell_rev 60 This is what it says in the pdf; "Item Revisions is compatible with 1PPv4 when you follow this installation order: Install before IR's main component: 101 Core Paperdolls (included in IR but required for other 1PP components) 400 Core Updates and Item Patches (partially included in IR but required for other 1PP components) 401 Improved Projectile Effects Install after IR's main component: 113 Smart Avatar & Armour Switching 210 Increased Paperdoll Object Variety (core) Don't install because they are already included: 203 Restored Flame Sword Animations 204 Colourable Quarterstaves 205 Legacy Shields v2 206 Additional Shield Animations (core) 207 Wizards' Staves (core) 208 Additional Helmet Animations (core) Aurora's main component also patches BGMain.exe, therefore 1PP component Unique Thief Avatars can not be installed after Aurora or after Infinity Animations main component. At least the 1PP component "Softer Spell Effects" must be installed before Spellpack because otherwise some spells and items will be faulty patched and display wrong animations. NOTE: This mod must be installed in three steps! Only the components Core paperdolls and Core content patches should be installed before Item Revisions. All the others components must be installed to the end of the megamod." This is in relation to 1PP v4, Item Revisions v4 Beta 10 (20 June 2017) with IR Revised V1.2.4 (2019 January 20th) and Spell Revisions v4beta16 with SR Revised V1.1.0 (2019 February 5th) I used the newest versions of IRR and SRR though. I did check the change history on the github pages and didnt look like anything massively different had been done to them, just fixes and tweaks but im far from an expert on this. Do you se any major issues with this install order apart from putting spell revisions first? Something like this maybe? spell_rev 0 20 30 55 1pp 101 102 103 114 200 400 401 item_rev 0 then, many hours later 1pp 104 105 106 107 108 109 110 111 112 113 201 210 300 301 item_rev 1030 2 3 10 17 11 12 1090 1091 1092 1093 15 16 1pp 202 spell_rev 60 Hopefully that makes some kind of sense. Also where would you put spell_rev 65 in relation to other mods ?
  7. After some more testing i've found that i cant create a mage class (single or multi) character. When clicking the button to select skills it crashes to desktop as before, same error. So, at a guess, one of the mods, or comonents, has buggered up mages, possibly relating to skills/proficiencies. I'll go back through mod selection and look, but if anyone else has any ideas or knows of a way of checking what might have been changed, that would be great.
  8. The crash to desktop is almost definitely a problem with wizard npcs. I've tried adding Quayle, Xzar and Edwin and i get the same crash each time. I didnt happen when i added Eldoth though, and he was level 3 bard with 2 level one spells available. It also happened when i started a new BG2 game, as soon as i'd finished talking to Imoen in Irenicus' dungeon, when she would join, it crashed with same error. The stutter bug seems to be caused by any container as well. In Nashkell, where the ankheg armour is hidden, there was an ammo belt which caused the issue.
  9. It ran, and did whatever it does. I tested both a saved game and a new game. But it hasnt fixed the issue. Still get crash to desktop. Same error as before. Got my hopes up then that i might have found a fix and could get to 2 favourite murder loons to join. Anyone else got any ideas?
  10. That link mentions Nythruns's Fix In Extracted Mods\RevisedBattles v6.3\RevisedBattles there' Setup-NythrunFixBGT.tp2 If i make a Setup-NythrunFixBGT.eve and copy both into my main BGII folder and run it, will it fix it?
  11. I've just found this Now, i guess, i just need to find the bugged item or spell?
  12. So i tried that and now blocks 13 and 52 keep firing constantly IF TargetUnreachable(LastSeenBy(Myself)) Delay(3) THEN RESPONSE #100 ActionOverride(Player1,DisplayStringHead(Myself,345735)) // Running block 13 of BPWDASGT.BCS ClearActions(Myself) Continue() END IF ActionListEmpty() OR(3) !Range(NearestEnemyOf(Myself),5) CheckStatGT(NearestEnemyOf(Myself),0,CLERIC_BLADE_BARRIER) CheckStatGT(LastSeenBy(Myself),0,WIZARD_FIRE_SHIELD) THEN RESPONSE #100 ActionOverride(Player1,DisplayStringHead(Myself,345774)) // Running block 52 of BPWDASGT.BCS EquipRanged() AttackOneRound(LastSeenBy(Myself)) END This is only happening on the Lions Way map area. The bag of holding, scroll case, potion case and gem bag to another map causes the stuttering but no scripts are firing constantly. So now im really baffled. Also got the ctd when trying to add Quayle to the party. He's been moved to the coast way map and the crash happens the same as with Xzar and Montaron. Same error too. -----TobEx: Throne of Bhaal Extender build 0.26.3.25 (Tue 16 Jun 2020 19:22:07) [Tue 16 Jun 2020 19:23:46] ASSERTION FAILED! I've had a look and cant find anything, but then i might not be looking right Any ideas?
  13. Is this better? IF OR(2) !Allegiance(Myself,EVILCUTOFF) !Detect([GOODCUTOFF]) THEN RESPONSE #100 ActionOverride(Player1,DisplayStringHead(Myself,345734)) // Running block 12 of BPWDASGT.BCS NoAction() END
  14. Seeing how i made such a mess of the original post, here are the actual problems im having, not hidden inside spoilers First issue is a stutter bug. Having given it a google i installed LStest. The culprit seems to be the Bag of Holding bought from Winthrop in Candlekeep 'Running block 12 of BPWDASGT.bcs' appears to be running almost constantly. I had dumped it on the ground and left the map before installing LStest. As soon as i went back to the map this block is showing as running, so frequently its hard to read it scrolls past so quick. What is BPWDASGT.bcs and does anyone know how or if its possible to fix? Also, not sure if relevant but i had the following error with cdtweaks component 182 - Unique Containers -> Unique icons and names ERROR: error loading [cdtweaks/bam/t-bhld47.bam] Stopping installation because of error. Stopping installation because of error. Stopping installation because of error. Stopping installation because of error. Stopping installation because of error. [.\dialog.tlk] created, 227257 string entries NOT INSTALLED DUE TO ERRORS Unique Containers -> Unique icons and names Second issue is with item stacks. I can buy arrows in stacks of 120 but i can't create stacks greater than 50. eg i have a stack of 20 arrows and a stack of 100, if i select the 100 and then try to stack them on the 20 i end up with a stack of 50 and 70 still being held. Im guessing i've ballsed up mod selection somewhere in relation to item stacks but im not sure where, has anyone got any ideas or a suggestion on how i can narrow it down myself? Thirdly, i get a crash to desktop when talking to Xzar and Montaron. After agreeing to have them join my party the game crashes. ToBeX.log shows the following; [Mon 15 Jun 2020 23:48:07] ASSERTION FAILED! Return Address: 0x4FF726 File: CGameEffect.cpp Line: 1536 Expression: FALSE Message: (null) I've had this problem happen before but have no idea whats causing it. This only seems to be affecting Xzar and Montaron as i was able to get Viconia, Jaheira and Khalid, and Ajantis to join without any issues. Any help with any of this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  15. @Jarno Mikkola Is this what you mean? ActionOverride(Player1,DisplayStringHead(Myself,345734)) // Running block 12 of BPWDASGT.BCS NoAction() END IF TargetUnreachable(LastSeenBy(Myself)) Delay(3)
  16. Hello I've installed BGT with a lot of mods using PI Followed BWP pdf 18.2 for install order Nearly everything installed ok. Some individual components failed to install or installed with error warning. The games launches ok but there are a few problems once playing. WeiDU log (somehow i've gone and put everything inside the spoiler tag which wasnt supposed to happen. This has not gone well)
  17. Hello Hopefully this is the right place to ask but not sure if its a PI thing or a SR_r thing. Plus i might have asked similar before and forgot the answer (sorry if thats happened) Im using PI to install mods and BWP 18.2 pdf as guide for install order BWP lists different components than show in PI BWP lists (for Spell Revisions v4beta16 with SR Revised V1.1.0 (2019 February 5th)) the following; Component 0 [Spell Revisions] Component 10 [Deva and Planetar Animations] Component 20 [Mirror Image Fix] Component 30 [Dispel Magic Fix] Component 40 [Cure Sleep Fix] Component 50 [Remove Disabled Spells from Spell Selection Screens] Component 55 [Spell Deflection blocks AoE spells] Component 60 [Update Spellbooks of Joinable NPCs] But PI shows; Component 0 [Spell Revisions] Component 10 [Deva and Planetar Animations] Component 20 [Mirror Image Fix] Component 30 [Dispel Magic Fix] Component 55 [Spell Deflection blocks AoE spells] Component 60 [Update Spellbooks of Joinable NPCs] Component 65:Revised Warrior HLAs So, have components 40 and 50 been depreciated or merged into the main component and i've not read the documentation properly, and the bwp guide is wrong because these are newer versions or is PI not displaying them for some reason? And what about Component 65:Revised Warrior HLAs? Thanks
  18. The BWP pdf does explain quite a bit about why you can and cant use certain mods together. And the BWInstall tool will make you choose between conflicting mods if you are trying to install mods that clash. So does the reasoning behind why you cant use mod A with mod B hold true regardless of whether you are modding BG1 or BG2 or BGT or BG EE or anything else? Surely there is some overlap regardless of some of the differences between game versions? And obviously some mods will only work one the old or new system exclusively. So the information about which order, and why, does exist for a specific install type. There must be a way of extracting it into a useable form for something like PI otherwise it seems a bit like re-inventing the wheel. Or should individuals be left to do there own research into what to use, where to install it and why x doesnt work with y unless you do z. And will that ultimately put people off modding the games, because at the end of the day people want to actually play the damn game? I've rambled on a bit but i think the point i was trying to make is that a lot of the information already exists, in BWP pdf and BWInstall and in the EET install tool. Surely there must be a way of collating that into one resource? Or have the potential modding variations become too diverse and you would need several different sets of rules depending on what you were trying to achieve?
  19. @ithildurnew yeah i should have been more specific. The spellpacmk i meant was "Lost Crossroads Spell Pack for Baldur's Gate 2 v6b" Afaik it plays ok with spell revisions if they are installed the right way round. Other odd things with this install are item stacks, specifically ammo. I can buy big stacks (ie greater than 50) but cant create stacks in inventory greater than 50, bigger stacks will split into 50's. I've probably got several mods doing the same thing which has ballsed it up. Here's the weidu log if anyone can help
  20. Thanks @subtledoctor i'll use that in next attempt at an install. The problem with Xzar and Montaron isnt happening in my current install which is weird weidu log of current working install
  21. Here's a sorting order file based on latest BWP pdf. Hopefully its useful BWP sorting order.csv
  22. Thanks @Jarno Mikkola I wondered how that worked. Made use of it and cleared a load of files i'd uploaded.
  23. Tried a BWP install using same mods, game starts correctly but get CTD when speaking to Montaron and Xzar, crashes just before they join party. -----TobEx: Throne of Bhaal Extender build 0.26.3.25 (Sun 08 Dec 2019 00:35:56) [Sun 08 Dec 2019 01:08:38] ASSERTION FAILED! 24. Im using strategems 32.7. Probably should have put that in the original post. First install worked fine, just checked the weidu log, smarter mages and smarter clerics both showing as installed successfully. One of the differences between the two is in the first install i used spellpack but didnt in the second. Dont know if that would have affected anything.
  25. @AL|EN thanks for that. Ill include it in next PI install. I know I've asked in another post as well but thought id ask again. BWP fixpack. Is there a way PI can get it to run? Only way i can run it without using BWInstall is by editing the batch cut. I just cut the first bit out which checks for bwinstall, very crude i know but it mostly works. I run it in the extracted mods folder prior to starting PI install. Im not convinced it does everything though as when its run as part of a bwp install it seems to do more, might just be me though. Any ideas? Thanks
